OOA turn round times

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
I've heard recently of a Cpl who was the owner of a fabloned biff chit, sudenly got upgraded long enough to do IMLC and TMT2, then lo and behold, downgraded again and the owner of a new biff chit to be fabloned.

This should not be happening.

i also knew of a cpl that couldnt go out of area because they were allergic to the dye in cs95's. they got promoted and all of of a sudden they were doing time in ops in greens to overcome this:PDT_Xtremez_09:

Some time ago I was informed by those that would have us believe they 'organise' our lives at Innsworth that if an individual was unfit in some way for 'active' duty in the Middle East then they would be bounced to areas that were somewhat more 'relaxed'.

Is there any evidence that this has ever been enacted? Surely if some biff can work in the UK then they can do FI and Al U releaving the strain on all the others?

Unfortunately not that I am aware. This point has been made many times and it is widely thought that the FI has better medical facilities than a lot of UK Units for example.

I have known it to happen once. Unfortunately, the drafters are tied by the limitations awarded by the medics. Z5 (UK Service only) is used far too often IMHO. Use of one of the other Z codes (can't remember which) can prevent people being sent to the desert but leaves them wide open for FI dets, which, as you say, can be completed by all but the most seriously sick & lame.

There is strong hint that the new joint assessment will be directly linked to fitness. Performance related pay will only granted if certain mark awarded. Salad dodgers beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've not heard this one but it probably wouldn't be a bad thing. It brings back the old argument though - if you want me to be fit, then let me get fit in work's time.

Guys,

You are taking this Off Topic .

Stay on topic of FOM OOA turn round times or start a new thread. Please remember this is the Ops forum, not a general forum.

OOA Turnaround 14 months????

OOA Turnaround 14 months????

The Adj here spoke to the desk on an unrelated subject this morning and he was told that the turnaround for Sgts OOA is now 14 months.::/:

Makes you wonder what the hell is going on???

Was that a cushy little posting I saw just float of the window there SSH, only to be replaced with another 4 months in the sand?

One of the Ops guys here spoke to the desk today and was told that the average was about 20 months for Sgt's; he was very surprised that he had been selected at about the 17 month point! Obviously doesn't read The Goat - Have a word SSH!!

Pool Sgts/FS OOA posts

Pool Sgts/FS OOA posts

The Naples OOA job appears to have already been pooled so surley that must be reducing the Sgt OOA turn around times! ;)

I heard a rumour yesterday of another of a beefed up Ops possibly at Seeb. A few Sgts and Cpls............

Bets on 12 month OOA turn around anyone? :PDT_Xtremez_42:

Lets face it now. If we end up going out to Seeb / Basrah or wherever then we can at least relax in the fact that we won't have to carry the useless lazy workshy slackers that we have to carry in the uk. One day all the fit ones will deploy and the RAF will be left in the (IN)capable hands of those not fit enough to do a fitness test (all 7 minutes of it).

Thats got my rant out of the way!!!!!!!!:PDT_Xtremez_25:

I notice that in the Personnel Bulletin (formerly Chf Clks Bulletin) that they're looking for a Sgt FOM for Las Vegas! Why don't you apply and get out of the DWR trap?
