Redundancy

I would say give it another month...........

Damnit!!

The RAF cannot even keep to schedules it sets itself.

Are they seeing if they can annoy people enough into not bothering to wait and just PVR'ing anyway?

You never know, my acting pay from last year may even be paid before I am out at this rate.

Scrolling news at a secret East Anglian base.................. :PDT_Xtremez_30:

Cheers, found it.

This is 'kin annoying. If there was going to be a delay they really shouldnt tell us the day before. Oh, and not on one bloody station website!

Feck it I'll just PVR anyway....

Chalk one up for the chief strategist. :PDT_Xtremez_42:

Surely this is just messing peole around, if it is true that the announcement has been delayed. Admittedly, I don't particularly want to be made redundant, but I want to know one way or another so I can get on with my life.

Perhaps they need 850 people to man RAF-somewhere-near-Libya?

Rumourtastic!!!!

Many a true word said in jest...........

Thinking of the headlines

Middle east going to ratpoopoo,
RAF flying their ar$e off getting Brit nationals out,
Iran sending war ships through Suez,
UK still heavily involved in the stan,
Great idea - lets let the world know about a whole load of redundancies in the UK military :raf:

I dont believe this , been waiting a long time for this day and was all excited only to be left int he lurch yet again by this ridiculous shower of **** we have in power. hey are just forcing people to PVR ,assholes !!!

Chill bro, it must be the Libya situation.

It has been doing the RAF a favour in all honesty for the last few days, with the ex-pat rescues etc.

Whoops, didn't you vote for them...:PDT_Xtremez_42:

Seriously though, do you actually believe it will do us a favour in the long run? Won't make any difference to the cuts IMO....

Snagsy understand that but what good is doing the RAF going to make , yet again the RAF has bailed out the government, the same government who a few months ago removed 2 of our capabilities and announced a drop of 7000 people.

The RAF will not benefit in anyway, this decision is pure saving face of the politicians as they will not announce redundency so soon after a bit operation. Will it save personnel or Lyneham, unfortunately not

Rant over

For how long? A couple of days, a month at the most.

We are engaged in some quite intensive 'peacekeeping' activities and have been for quite a long time. We still get cut and then cut some more. Do you really thing a few Hercs flying into Libya will provide anything other than a moments distraction in the grand money saving scheme?

People are trying to plan their lives and careers. Being messed about to save political face and allow a more opportune time to announce cuts annoys people.

One unit puts it on their scrolling news, with no authority at all, and that's it, no DIN.

However, a Wg Cdr friend of a Gp Capt's neighbours cleaner, says the DIN will be there in the morning. Now who you gonna believe?? :PDT_Xtremez_42:

I saw an official document today forwarded through my Chain of Command!!!

My wife's mate's cleaner's dog told me it has more to do with the fact they still haven't finished writing the DIN. As of Friday afternoon it was 30 pages long and growing.

In other words, the delay is not a political decision in the usual sense.

So what we are saying is its rumour. The Announcement will be made tommorow as the norm and we are all getting hyped up for no reason ?
