Wiki tends to only take verification from other sources before leaving things on there. Figures tie up with UK government totals and election reform society maths. It's only wiki-schmiki, but you'll see similar figures everywhere
2019 election, 13 million tory votes
2024 election, 6 million tory votes

The kids that received A level results this week will have spent their entire education under the last Government, who have had ample opportunity to reform our education system to make it fit for the 2020s and beyond.Interesting. Still need hand skills as robots cannot make everything. Life skills that allow people to attempt anything. The kids that received A level results this week will have spent their entire education under the last Government, who have had ample opportunity to reform our education system to make it fit for the 2020s and beyond.
UK is almost entirely dependent on its service sector now for GDP, with very little manufacturing and even less of said manufacturing being done by skilled humans, so I can see why woodwork and metalwork classes are for the history books. If that is the way the world is moving, where robots make stuff, then the adults of tomorrow need to be taught how to build, maintain and develop AI.
The school day (IMHO) should also be an hour longer, and holidays should be shorter - say 10 weeks across the year instead of 13 (+ inset days). The knock-on effect to the economy of lower income parents having to take time off to look after their kids for 6 weeks in the summer, or shell out thousands for child care/summer activities is detrimental, plus in this day and age, a lot of those kids will only get a decent meal if they are at school, and 6 weeks without a decent meal for a child is akin to torture.
We (with our 2nd jobs and military pensions) are very privileged and dont often get to see what a lot of the UK have to endure on a daily basis. One of my team members is a former social worker - and some of the stuff he has dealt with was bloody horrific.
