Tranche 2

So t2 released to COs on Monday and embargoed until 0900 on Tuesday. A revised weighting for applicants, and if you don't fit the criteria on seniority you can still apply. Looks like some lessons have been learnt from t1.

For the vast majority this is the last tranche so it should be a biggie. No doubt all trades will be looked at and probably virtually every rank. Should be fun.

What are the revised weightings, does anyone know them roughly?

Tranche 3 was always going to be used as an 'emergency' tranche. If they hadn't sacked enough, had enough volunteers and pee'd enough people off that they walk anyway it was there as a stand by!

Weighting?
What do you mean? Is it a spelling mistake or just a bit of lingo I've never heard of?

He means even more points for applicants (or non-applicants), whichever way they score it so that those who want it get it and the malingering wasters get to stay.

I believe he is refering to the points system to select candidates, points for q courses, points for behavior, points for good assessments, etc......

Weighting = what he said!

In terms of jeapody:

Points will be added for certain aspects some of which will be more important and will be multiplied by a factor greater than others that are considered less so.

The answer is, what is weighting.

This allows priorites to be set to ensure that the right people are shafted.

The delay between told something will happen and it happening

The answer is, what is waiting

This allows the organisation to shift a lot of people because they feel as if they have no future.

Anyone know the number for tranche 2?
Wasnt there going to be 5000 total raf or just a figment of my imagination?
If so surely this cull will be a massive one even with the loads of pvrs that have happened over the past months

*conjecture*

According to the press, this round should see 1000 RAF personnel going. Obviously this may well all be rubbish.

SDSR said we are to lose 5000. Tranche 1 was circa 1000. We'd be getting off lightly if it was just 1000 for Tranche 2...

With bags of extra duties on the horizon, the threat of extended OOA's with an increased frequency (due to people leaving) and the affects of not giving a great many people the opportunity to become redundee's perhaps they will use their noggin for once and make trance 2 small hoping others will walk for free...

Not forgetting the pension 'mess-around' that is inbound if a lot aren't bracketted this time a percentage of them will walk anyway.
