Just about to trade in my old underpowered 1.8 VW Passat for a 9 month old 1.9CDTi Vectra SRi (150 bhp) that goes like hot snot - can't wait 'til Friday........

'98 2.0 Renault Scenic RXE Auto.

Boring & practical, but fast as fcuk.

'55 Citroen C8 2.0 HDI for the family / long distance stuff and a '53 Fusion 1.4 TDCi for the wife's runabout. Fusion has tax of £35 a year, thanks Gordo.

Off Topic If it's not a rude or personal question, Kat, what were you doing out

???? Do tell - I'm struggling to contain my imagination and need putting out of my misery.

I was on my way home after a night pawing over boring books and student type stuff Im afraid - nothing exciting!!!

New car goes like a dream though - so bonus!!!!:PDT_Xtremez_14:

Im scaleing down from a Ford Galaxy 1.9TDi Ghia to a Vauxhall Vectra 1.6 LS 16v.

First car a W reg 1.3 Fiesta
Second car a Y reg 1.25 Fiesta
Moment of madness an ancient 1.8GT Fiat Tipo for a 3rd car
Now I have a 1.8 Mondeo (acts like a 1.2 and is slow)
and a 1.8TDDI Focus which has a few extras in it and is very dirty so it looks like crap (but its funny to see the faces of chavs in their saxos dissappear in the rear view)

the mighty 1.6 vauxhall zafira club.
underpowered, drinks petrol and handy for a single man:PDT_Xtremez_28:

For me getting to work, 900CC of prime Fiat Siecento (even funnier as I am of the larger build!!)

For family outings Alfa 156 2.0 GTS Tourismo - Italian but fantastic fun to drive and the bonus of 4 doors

and a 1.8TDDI Focus which has a few extras in it and is very dirty so it looks like crap (but its funny to see the faces of chavs in their saxos dissappear in the rear view)

is that because they are shrouded in filthy diesel smoke belching from the exhaust like all Ford turbo-diesels?

gotta love the torque of a TD though - leaves em all standing on dual carriageways. Diesel POWAAAAH!!! (As Jeremy Clarkson would say - or maybe not)

Gotta admit, that my Galaxy..(well..for a few more days at least)...dont half fly down the motorway and the amount of boy racers that have tried and failed to overtake/go past me is quite amuseing..especially when i slow down to let them overtake..then just zoom straight past them a few mins later!..Ahhhh..gonna miss her.:PDT_Xtremez_08:

It doesnt kick out as much smoke as it used too when I inherited it off of my driving instructor dad

XC90 (56) Plate.

I bet the PC brigade will get me here.

:PDT_Xtremez_15:

No PC brigade here but WHAT!!! I had to drive a spanking new XC90 in an old job (Events logistics for Volvo and Renault). Even though I had only passed my test a year before I still knew that those things drive like a damn boat, the autos are flabby as all hell and they look nasty.... I hate Renaults as they are poorly built too!

Mind you I drive an old shape Escort so what do I know!! LOL

My car a Citroen C5 2.2 HDI, bloody huge boot so great for moving the mutts around.

Her car Ford Fiesta 1.4TDCI, yet again £35 a year for road tax (nice one!) and great for scooting around town.

Still trying to decide what motorbike I want !

Ive got a SAXO (not the clit VTR) 52 plate:PDT_Xtremez_32: the proper VTS 130BHP 0-60 faster then the VW Corr and golfs.....(6.3) confirmed on rolling road (Free Plug Neil Ellise in Foy) and shes standard...........

Fang

Fang

a great little V reg Ford Ka 1.3 (nicknamed Fang because it is highly inappropriate and because of the licence plate). Does 0-60 in about a week but is quite happy to tick along at 70 (+a bit) on the motorway. Though some utter f***wit managed to nearly rip the left wing mirror off in Tescos car park yesterday and didn't even have the common decency to apologise, ranking them alongside middle lane hogs and fog-light criminals in my book.

Looking to get something new next year, so I need a good sounding board - What car can I get (as a girl) and obtain a certain amount of respect from male road users? No MX5/TT/MR2/Beetle or other such hairdressing paraphernalia need apply - I was thinking more along the lines of Audi S3 or some such.

Ideas?
