I drive the mighty VW Golf VR6... 2.8 giving around 174bhp....... nice to drive and p!ss off wanabe hard boys in CLIT SAXOs. Needs a little bodywork attention since the bint officers wife that had it b4 me kinda didn't give a sh!t about it.... b@tch........

I'm happy tootling about in my Mercedes C240 AMG (yes: leather, estate, auto, air, roofrails etc) waiting for some young thrusting ponce in a naff Vauxhall who has decided he wants to take me on. Hit the loud pedal, and he disappears out of mirror view (and, Tigger, without exceeding the speed limit due to the neck-breaking (ooh, Miss Whiplash - now there's a thought!!Off Topic ) acceleration). Would love to have the registration C240 AMG to stick on it too, that wopuld be sooooo cool.

Mrs Jumpjet also stooges around in a Merc - an A Class though. Both spot on cars, a few years old but built to last and the quality is superb. Life is too short not to have the Stuttgart Star on your driveway at least once.

The fun is in the corners, not top end. Was really amusing watching boy racers come bombing up behind our unmarked car on our driving course, only to get blown into the weeds in and out of the corner. It's all about setting the car and balance of forces.

There was an idiot lived near huddersfield with reliant robin supercar. I don't know what the cnut had hidden inside but I could never keep up with him in an XR3i. He did get caught eventually well over the ton on the back streets around emley moor transmittor.

12 year old diesel cavalier. It's reasonably cheap to run and the parts are freely available from scrap yards. It gets used twice a week, once to go home and, unfortunatley, once to go back.
Anyone out there have any experience of the new 1.4 TDCI Fiesta? It seems ever so pikey to me with 65mpg and £50 per year road tax. That leaves me more money to spend on beer to numb the boredom of those 5 days at work.

Not sure that you or him would keep up with Wg Cdr Green who is presently driving a JCB Diesel to beat the land speed record for a diesel vehicle.

I think the only way I would approach the land speed record in my car would be if Wg Cdr Green were towing me!

OUCH!!
Im yellabelly & proud of it. Never driven a pick up in my life! Nor do I own a 4 wheel drive - they are driven by foreigners trying to look "country"!!

I personally drive a black 03 plate Honda Civic R type, in Black.
Fantastic car!

Hi Tashy_Man - you 'in the club' at all ?? http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk

I drive one of the first/original bug eyes (Oct 94 M plate) 24v Cosworth job. I've tried to keep her 'young' over the years but still managed to clock up 80,000 miles on her .

Nice cars, but Labour of Love don't you think??

Hi TFH,

Only just seen your post...sorry for slow reply ! Never knew there was a club but have used that site a few times to diagnose a few faults that occured and saved me a bit of cash. Getting harder to find second hand spares but ebay has just about sorted me out. Had a bump (old biddy reversed into me) and now need the strip light attached to boot lid..no other damage thank god.
Mine was high mileage when i got it (130,000) now up to 144,000...still going strong and never have to top the oil up. Looking a bit tatty now and really needs new bonnet/boot and paintjob but that gonna cost way too much....I only paid £2300 and for a 2.9 the power is great.

Labour of love definatly....

I've got swish new Saxo like my hero's. Bright yellow with the reg plate number thing PS 50 GUD the man in the tax office wouldn't let me have PS 15 FAB so I tried to give him a good kicking but he escaped through the window after the first kick.

Focus Ghia on an 06 plate when I want to stay dry and this below when I wish to be hurled at the scenery at terminal velocity.

Honda VTR 1000 SP-2 (race preped)
