Yeah FOI request went straight in along with an email to the current TS to provide me with a copy of the document.

So anybody got any update on this yet? Has a decision been made?

So were NVQ level 3's in aircraft engineering not acceptable in 2005 onwards, i am sure the rule was always NVQ for your first one and BTEC for your second on??

I've got an acquaintance who left on PVR last year who's had a letter warning him he was overpaid. He's already decided to let them take him to court.

Still all quiet and no decision from what i gather. My assumption is 'they' are exploring all the legal avenues to make sure 'they' are watertight before any announcement. Also, i'm led to believe that not all units have completed their audits yet even though November 2012 was the cut off point?

Some have had the 'debts' on their payslips for three months now, their Xmas's ruined with worry and i know of one who now has SSAFA and the med centre involved as its affecting him quite badly. He was signed off with stress for a while.

Correct me if i'm wrong, didn't a certain female MP who falsely claimed 60K in expenses, recently get told she didn't have to pay it back as she couldn't attend court due to stress? Another potential legal conundrum!!!!

If the decision to reclaim goes ahead, i think the MOD/RAF should have their 'Investors In People' status stripped as a first step.

I think they have already had this status stripped, some time ago. On the subject of filing a class action in defence, i.e. hiring the well known Lincoln legal firm, are there any further developments in this area? One suspects the mere idea that this could happen might dissuade the powers that be somewhat.

Really? Our HQ entrance still has the IIP sign proudly displayed in the entrance!!! It was only because i read it as i went in and thought, what a load of b0ll0x that is!

Not heard anything from the Lincoln group. A few enquiries were made and some good legal advice received but as no decision has been made, everything is at a stand still. As usual, 'they' will will announce it craftily, probably on the back of something else as a smokescreen for minimum impact.

I'm just hanging on the 'no news is good news' saying. Its the only thing keeping me ticking along at the moment otherwise i would have cracked up ages ago.

Everyone check their Debt, mine was wrong. To the tune of £1600 I was told could not be the case as it was a computer program through JPA, admin wrong again, Mine had been manually done and was incorrect after 3 days of explaining they agreed!!!!

Nothing on mine either, I think they are waiting on the decision. I asked JPAC about this (to see if they have had a heads up) and they didn't have a scooby.

If anything appears on my payslip ill be onto my solicitor.

We had the CASWO up here last week and the subject of AIP Reclaim came up. He said that it wasn't a huge amount of money with relation to other things and all he would say without comitting is that he was 'confident of a positive outcome' with reference to the re-claim back .

On the other hand the Pay, Pensions & Allowances roadshow were saying that recovery seems to be the preferred stance of the Treasury of the moment. Think we'll have to just wait out and see.

Just had a debt for over 2 grand appear on my feb payslip....

We've been sent an e-mail about it, should folk ask, and it is now going on our MOSS page. We have also requested that it goes on the JPA Splash Screen, so that everyone can see why its appeared. The key point of the message is as follows:

"You should all be aware of the agreement that all AIP debts were to be suspended until a decision on recovery action had been made. This still stands, and all AIP debts are suspended".

I believe it is something do do with a change in Financial Year, which forces a date to be input.

AIP dept added to pay chit

AIP dept added to pay chit

The scumbags have finally added what they think I owe them for the great AIP debackle , so much for innocent until proven guilty! Does anyone know what is happening regarding this before solicitors get involved?

Finally! a decision is coming....

Finally! a decision is coming....

Word on the street today is that a final decision will be made and announced within the next two weeks.....

***It's Government / Treasury driven so don't hold your breath****

The correspondance seen also alludes to a possibility of various other options for repayment.

I guess you were drinking some MD when this thread was going last week Ady:

Sorry Mutty, missed it as I'm on the tablet andriod app at the moment which doesnt seem to be half as good as the real thing! I think its disgusting that having put in an appeal against the pathetic decision that they slap the amount they think I owe on my pay chit whilst i'm OOA, Human Factors my arse.

Had an email from OC PSF basically they have lost or destroyed my original documentation. Bloody typical!! Now have £2000 possibly owing."Your records reflect that you were awarded Q-PI-C WEF 10 Aug 2009, however, there is no evidence of your original application contained in your F445a? It is therefore requested that you complete the attached AIP application and provide evidence of your original certificates to me in PSF"
