No PSF should take original certificates of you. They should have photocopied them and signed/stamped them up as being true copies of the originals.

Had an email from OC PSF basically they have lost or destroyed my original documentation. Bloody typical!! Now have £2000 possibly owing."Your records reflect that you were awarded Q-PI-C WEF 10 Aug 2009, however, there is no evidence of your original application contained in your F445a? It is therefore requested that you complete the attached AIP application and provide evidence of your original certificates to me in PSF"

If you've got your certificates and the qualification is valid then you won't have any problems.....

From what I gather, the issue for some is that when they earned their certificates the qualification was valid and they were given the AIP.

But now, someone has decided that they are no longer valid and as they've now moved the goal posts you owe them money!

Glad I never got an AIP!

Anybody heard anything on the drums yet?

I got a nice email from Admin today saying my AIP has now been accepted and I no longer owe a truck load of cash. Massive weight off! I've only got to hope they don't fluck my pay up taking debt off..........................

Nice one, for more info, I have it on good authority that any L3 qual gained through the RAF will be acceptable.

Hopefully your case is the start of more good news to come.

L3 Qual? As in Level 3?

What about a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management, wholly gained through the RAF?

Feck - I wish I'd have put a fraudulent AIP in now!

The thing is Metimme, using your fitters course etc was above board in 2001, the RAF changed its own goalposts in 2004 if I recall correctly. So you could have, though I'm sure your masters will suffice too :PDT_Xtremez_30:

Funny you should say that...I emailed the TS about that and received no reply. When (and if...) I get the certificate I'll make some enquiries.

The end is in sight!

The end is in sight!

I receieved a call from my HR yesterday telling me my LCGI Level 4 has been accepted. A massive weight of my shoulders i can tell you! That was six months of pure hell.

Fingers crossed for everyone out there still waiting, hopefully sense will prevail.

Did you appeal or did they just take this long to make a decision?

Did you appeal or did they just take this long to make a decision?

I verbally appealed it back in October 2012, I also showed my boss the Service Complaint i had written ready to submit. I was prepared to fight it all the way. To be honest, i don't think my appeal or prepared written evidence played any part in the final decision. I think the Q's were just resubmitted to be looked at again. I don't know who or where the final decision was made, i'm just glad its all over. Just months of screwed up payslips ahead no doubt, but i can live with that.

So when the fcuk are we going to get a decision on this? Anybody heard any reliable jungle drums recently...?

When I applied for my AIP I used my NVQ3 on my jump to Cpl, was told at the time I could not use my BTEC as both were the same although I seen 2 others before me being allowed to use both. 8 years later I still have an AIP to use and just seeing somebody has used the LCGI award to get an AIP although it says you cannot. Surely uo cannot have one rule for one and one for another.

Im all for the guys that been through worry and stress to not pay back after somebody messed up but many of us are now stuck with AIPs we cannot use with many having to chance of getting to college or study due to the nature of being 1st line and line management not allowing us to take on education.

Feel like so many of us lost out after the RAF deciding to bin it all together as it will cost them too much money if they take it further.

i got told months ago I was 'not guilty' but my May pay chit is still showing the debt, I wonder how long this is going to drag on for? first it was April, then all done for May.........

I (and many others) are still waiting for a fcuking decision....
