So the NVQ alone doesn't/didn't count? These extra `NVQ assessor` annotations - does that mean you had to have it signed off by one or be one?

JSP 754 OCT 11, ANNEX C TO CHP3, SECTION 6, P138-174. This is where the RAF information is detailed regarding AiP's and what you can use etc..

A worrying time which seems is HR's fault but the 'common man' will be punished. The whole thing should be written off with no money to pay back if you've incorrectly claimed and HR didn't pick it up on application. If I muck up at work I take the blame, not someone else.

Yeah all one pay band we all accept the same responsability. I think not . In PSF if you loose a pen and somebody slips on it and falls , do you go to jail !!!

I rest my case

You should do as you're responsible for H&S in your area of work!!!!

Only joking:PDT_Xtremez_28:

I'm not going to defend my trade because it really is sh1te admin!

As I said before if they were/are in doubt then speak with the TS - it's not difficult!

Rest assured these AIP queries have also affected some TG17...and at least one is a Chf Clk!

You obviously deserve to be on the higher pay band & slate people off.

However, learn basic grammar and spelling before you do, you narrow minded cretin.

I rest my case.

Ah the spelling police, I think you'll find GCSE English wasn't a requirement to be a techie! I think the point he is making is if an aircraft techy messes up its goodnight Vienna, if a scribby fecks up its always JPA's fault or a problem for someone else and if they want either of my AIP's back which they approved over 5 years ago I'll see them in court first.

I'm a bit confused, does this affect Q-PI-B and Q-PI-C? Or is it just D?

I think you'll find it was. Or at least when techies were techies and not the lowly box swappers they seem to have become. :PDT_Xtremez_14:

'O' level English was when I joined.

Edit: Doh, just seen TMG's post.

I seem to remember a "discussion" with someone who was using his IMLC cert for AIP and it clearly stated in the regs is wasn't allowed.
I also seem to remember a similar incident where a IMLC cert was allowed for a PI -B(?) CPL level, making it sort of redundant.

I hope they both get big bills, as they blagged their way through PSF.

Although as the mess up with the low to high band showed those who were honest and chased to repay the money and get it sorted will lose out to those less scrupulous!
Oh and the List 1 mess for the ex 3s

you might now but 22 years ago it was Maths and Science not English.

17 years ago it was Maths, Science, English and two others. It all depends on how easy it is to recruit at the time. 4 years ago you could probably get in with a nicely written note from your mum, whereas I think you have to offer your first born to the AFCO nowadays.

Anyway, back on topic, what are the legalities of reclaiming money from serving personnel but letting those that have already left keep the same money, especially if both people were serving at the same time? If it's being reclaimed through salary for one should it not be reclaimed through pensions for the other?

The statute of limitations is 6 years so all they cant try to reclaim are any that are no older than that. As i understand it, they can still try to reclaim all money paid, irrelevant of fault up to that date regardless of employment status. I'm sure an outrage letter mentioning admin cock ups that are affecting the pay of airmen in afghan etc to the mail would help sharpen a few minds though.

Now is this only affecting AIP-D? I ask as I have used an AIP-A and AIP-B according to JPA - one as an SAC (BTEC) and one on promotion to Cpl (NVQ).

36 years ago it was Maths and Science, English wasn't a requirement.

It was a requirement 10 years ago, but I managed to have it waived as I had a ton of trade based qualifications.

So my English is still bad......

Also could someone explain what this thread is all about as if you're talking to an idiot, I put an AIP in years ago and I want to know if I owe these idiots any money.

These AIP's..can you use an A and a B (A as an SAC and B as a Cpl or say an A as an SAC and then C as a Sgt) or does it have to be an A, B or C with a D ie does your second AIP always have to be the D????? Confused I is!
