PVR avalanche Monday afternoon then? I was joking in my earlier post but on a serious note this whole AIP debacle has been an embarrassment from start to hopefully its impending finish. Why on earth has it taken so long to reach a decision? If people owe money then so be it, mistakes have been made but to keep people hanging on for so long to find out is unforgivable.

PVR avalanche or not - once the bill is levied you have to pay it back so a PVR may not be the best option!

AIP - How Much Are You Going To Have To Pay Back? (GPD)

AIP - How Much Are You Going To Have To Pay Back? (GPD)

Title says it all really, how much are you going to be stung for, for having an AIP authorised and signed off only to be told that they made an error but you will pay the price?

I've been out since mid 2012 and there have been no letters to me ref this b0llocks.....not directly of via pension people.

Mr SCJ

Tg3. this issue came up a few years ago but was sorted or so I was told! Latest rumour is the RAF wanted to write it off but the treasury have decided otherwise...

I've got close to £3k as a GPD. If I'm going to be told to pay it back I will be straight on the phone to a certain solicitors that at every clued in military law! How are they going to get any of this back from people who have left?

They'll write them a nice letter, asking for the money back, and if the money isnt handed back, they'll write a slightly stronger letter asking for it.

Let's wait and see. If it needs to be paid back then I think they will have a watertight case.

According to some threads over on ARRSE if you have left then SPVA will claw it out of your pension pot.
