Any one fancy a new no fly zone det to Aki?

BBC saying if the UN vote yes to the no fly zone over Lybia (in the next hr or so) then RAF Jets could be in action over the contry tomorrow!!!!!!

I know were good but unless theres a hidden sqn or two out there then I very much doubt it!!!!!

SDSR (didnt see this comming did yah!)

Yep can't go to war without bluntys to prove that paperwork is more important than flying...Speaking of paper I'd pack some...

Spams have started to throw Tomahawks at Tripoli and the PM has stated that the RAF has already started operations over Libya.

In that case can I come to?

If we're going to give Gaddafi a good lesson I'm perfectly placed for the role and I can bring my own PowerPoint lessons!:PDT_Xtremez_30:

What do you think would bore him into submission first, Hydraulic Principles or Nose Wheel Steering systems?:PDT_Xtremez_42:

I'm sure I can get my hands on a copy of 'The Man from LOX' or 'Don't Lose your RHAG' if that will help!:raf:

HTB

Mod confirm that some of those Tomahawks came out of a British Sub.

US navy confirms 110 Tomahawks launched at Air defence sites and Airfields.

So Dave says we are in action over Libya now, open source....So, what jets have left the UK? Because my A/C type hasnt...

Who told the French where to drop?

But to answer your question, I've just had a phone call telling me to pack to be on the next available trooper. 0 to 24hr NTM in the space of one phone call. Damn, I love this job sometimes!

Good luck there fella, sort those allowances out :PDT_Xtremez_30:

Is anyone else watching BBC news at mo?? The Yankee bloke on it is having a hard time not trying to say anything........ And how many ribbons does he have???? Its like a patchwork quilt on his chest.... I think he may have put his boyscout ones on too!!

It's interesting to note that all the reports are coming from Lossie and not a word from the Fens.

BBC Look East have started showing footage of MRM jets 'getting ready to go'...

They also alleged that weapons are being prepared and delivered, although the footage they showed appeared to be a RAPTOR pod... Numpty's

Didn't get a good look at but, it was either a Stormshadow or a Raptor, though there has been footage of stuff being taken out of the bomb dump (mostly in boxes).

now they say it was a rebel plane that got shot down by rebels.....

This bit is funny, Since when do the rebels have their own air force?
It's either a gadaffi loyal pilot, who deserved his fate
Or its a defecting libyan air force pilot, but surely knowing that a no-fly-zone is authorised why was he stupid enough to use an aircraft to run away, whether it was the french that took him down or the rebels with their archaic guns it was very silly of him to be in the air when the chances of NFZ policing in force he could be taken out.

If it was just a joe bloggs rebel, what a way to go! Stealing a jet and succesfully navigating it though the skies for a while

Nope, there was footage of an airfield with Mig 23's captured by the reblels at the start of this thing. Most likely a defected pilot trying to bomb gadiffi's forces and getting shot down by his own rebels.

Don't believe all the hype

O

This is where things need to be taken with a pinch of salt. Political games, fog of war and all that.

News keeps telling us he is killing civvies. Pictures are showing guys with guns, bigger guns, tanks and now jets. Gadaffi loyal pilot would be just doing his job. the same as ours. If it was a rebel then they are breaking the no fly zone ??
