Some nice pictures there, brought a tear to my eye!

That Harrier needs a good wash, what are the lineys doing these days?:PDT_Xtremez_27:

Let me tell you, In MY day............zzzzzzzzzzzzz.:PDT_Xtremez_30:

were the majority of those pics from targeta.co.uk?

I'd put a tenner down to say I bet he didn't take them himself.........I can't see the point of posting other peoples pictures.........they have nothing to do with you and someone will own them (i.e. Philip Stevens @ www.targeta.co.uk). Unless you have asked for permission then you should not be using them and could be putting the goat in line for prosecution.

Crack on..................:PDT_Xtremez_09:

Just to amplify Tashy's concerns

If the picture has copyright information on it either by naming a person such as fuckknuckle@aol.com or a website name fucknuckle.com watermarked through it then we will pull it. No writing on it then we don't know who took it and it is presumed in the public domain or freeware. If there is ANY doubt then do not post it. We as MODs will pull any picture that refers to another website or has someone's contact details on it

Just to clarify. So if i came across a picture on the net free of watermarks etc, i'm free to post it on here?

Technically yes, we still reserve the right to delete pictures though. If we do delete a picture we will tell you the reason why.

Edited to add: It does not count if you edit out the watermark or copyright in Photoshop

I'm guessing the answer will be yes but if i know it has come from a recognised site I will report it every time...to the goat staff first and if nothing is done then to the pictures owner.

With copyrighted material we are covered as long as we acknowledge the source and not try to pass the picture or whatever the source may be off as our own. That's why it is preferable to provide links to news stories rather than copy and paste an article. I believe that posting pictures tagged or watermarked with web addresses is not a breach of copyright but I think it may break our in-house rules on advertising.

Owners only usually get upset with copyright issues if someone is trying to make money from material that isn't rightfully theirs so it shouldn't be an issue for us. Better safe than sorry, though.

OK...if thats the case i'll shut up and stop warning people.

Don't get me wrong, I'm drawing my knowledge from an OU course I did 7 years ago so I may now be mistaken. The last thing we need is to be hit with a lawsuit by some disgruntled photographer so there is no harm in erring on the side of caution.

I have posted in some comments from Karl Drage, the photographer of these photos:

Personally I wouldn't jump up and down if my pics appeared on any forum without the poster seeking my permission (it's flattering, after all!), so long as they didn't remove my copyright mark and so long as they didn't try to pass them off as being their own.

That said, it's probably just common courtesy to ask the question before you (or anyone else) does so, as technically it is a breach of copyright and I can't guarantee everyone would take my stance on it!

If you wanted to pop some of mine on E-goat, that's fine. A plug for my website (www.karladrage.co.uk) underneath wouldn't go amiss! ;-)

Thanks again and best wishes,
Karl

I think this is fairly clear and covers the issues that have been raised. Any ones that do not have Karl's name on are from his web site, there are some awesome photos, on the site for those interested.
