No Newcaslte fans are arguing this point for god's sake. The fans which apparently hounded out Fat Sam are the ones who were clapping him off the pitch after a poor performance at Stoke. It may be true that many weren't exactly shedding a tear at his exit, however the fans "DO" appreciate that someone is going to have to be given time if we wish to be challenging for honours sometime in the future.
As for the club, i'll say it again it was taken into new ownership in the summer just after Allardyces appointment. He was never their man, and what is this great success he had at Bolton? He took a small club who had no expectations to the top 8 of the premiership playing anti-football. By all means have that at your club if you want. But remember Glenn Roeder managed to get a massively underperforming and injury hit squad to finish above this massively successfull Bolton team only two seasons ago.
It amazes me that the same rag tops are constantly slated for printing sensationalist nonsense regarding the forces. Do you think the crap written in their back pages is written with any more basis in actual fact?
Before you go jumping down my throat read what i said. I didnt mention Newcastle. I agreed with a previous post and gave another example when the same has happened. And read my earlier posts on this thread.
I think this is what says it all really:

Allardyce was never his man and IMHO he was obviously looking to get rid of him. Why Sam took the job knowing there were going to be changes "upstairs" was his mistake.
IMO football is a results driven business, i want to see good football but if my team plays poorly and wins i go home happy. I watched a terrible performance against Hearts last month and it took their goalie to drop the ball from a routine cross into the net to give us the points and i was pleased.
Your are clearly a passionate fan, all true footy fans are. I for one this time last year was calling for Paul le Geun to go but he had signed guys from the lower leagues of Switzerland and Austria, that were clearly not good enough.
I wouldnt claim SA to be a massive success at Bolton, but with limited funds and a game plan he managed to make them a solid Premiership outfit. There is no such thing as "anti-football" sorry. it is called a game plan, and if it works then you have got to be pleased. If you want to argue that you would rather play attractive football and lose 4-3 i will disagree with you.
I am sorry but from what i saw of Newcastle this season was a bit mixed. But in one particular game there were grumbles every time the Centre Backs played a long ball or long clearance as it was percieved that Allerdyce was playing direct/long ball football. We all know that that tactic wont really cut it in the Premiership and i dont think that SA was playing long ball football at Newcastle. Off Topic But why has Alan Smith being played as a Centre Mid at Newcastle and Man Untd (Before he left)?
But if Newcastle had won their last 6 games you would all be happy.
It never ceases to amaze me fans demanding attractive football. We all pay our money, we want to be enrtertained but for me i want results.
My team played 4-5-1 agaisnt Barcelona and got a 0-0 draw this year in the CL, couldnt have been happier that night. Messi accused us of "anti-football" what doess that mean? We got the result, you had 90 minutes to do something about. See also Henry's sour grapes after Scotland beat them twice. Would we rather have opened up and played an attacking formation and got cuffed? No way. We played to our strenghts and beat one of the best teams in the world in Paris and in Glasgow, how many teams have beaten France in Paris?
Back to Newcastle, i dont know who would want to take the job. Shearer would be bonkers too IMHO.
