Why not wait to see if your questions are answered once the FULL PLAN is made public or are you too important to wait.

No I'm not. Why didn't they release the briefing document first instead of Johnson going on TV. Tell me how a business is supposed to get up and ready with 12 hrs notice on a Sunday night. How are you supposed to get to work if you don't have a bike or a car. How are you supposed to get childcare provision on a Sunday night ready for going back to work on a Monday morning.

Must have missed the bit last night where the PM said that anyone who couldnt work from home HAD to go back to work this morning. :p

I would put good money on it that if the briefing document was released first you would be straight on here complaining that you weren't given a heads up of what was coming.

It looks like JIT cannot use a bit of common sense.

He /She only reads what he / she can argue about.

Nowhere in the brief last evening was going back to work mandatory.

Show me where I said you Had to go back to work. You're seeing something which isn't there

You didn't, you questioned the logistics of getting back to work with 12 hours notice and as everyone with a bit of common sense knows that he didn't say anything of the sort.

So why did you say I said HAD to go to work Well what did he say then. Did he not say return to work on Monday. Maybe you can explain to me why the roads and public transport were packed this morning. Because it looks like Hundreds of thousands have no common sense

The Prime Minister said anyone in England who can’t work from home, for instance those in construction or manufacturing, should now be "actively encouraged" to go to work from "this week".

When there is no perfect solution the only workable solution is an imperfect one.

People will die one way or another, from what I've seen the plan is to only allow enough people to get ill which the NHS can cope with.

It will spike again and it will go down again, and then spike again, as long as the NHS can cope with those that require treatment then life can resume the new norm.

There was a report in the papers that most business's said they could re-open with 3 weeks notice. So he could have given notice to be up and running, say on the 1st June. Dependant on the various factors pertaining to the virus infection levels Etc.

Because they are like one or two on here - they cannot apply common sense.

That doesn't mean it is mandatory.

I think the recommendation is that you should go to work, if you cannot work from home and it is safe to do so, common sense also suggests that safety starts when you walk out the door.

Now if you cannot work safely and/or there is no way to get to work safely then you shouldn’t go to work, however, in the new norm if there is work to be done and it can be done safely yet you cannot safely get to work then what should happen to you?

Furlough is bound to be wound down, paying people to stay at home isn’t affordable, if there is work to be done you shouldn’t be furloughed anyway, and unless you are shielding or actually sick then sick pay might not be payable. Also what about those people who were furloughed but it is highly unlikely that their jobs will be there at the end of lock down?

The journey out of this will be much harder than initial enforcement of the lockdown, over time tolerance and sympathy will ebb.

The biggest problem will be those people that need diagrammatic instructions because they haven't got the brains to use common sense.

I've just had clarification from my boss on wht happens next; continue to work from home while the powers that be work on a plan to implement safe working arrangements at each of our sites.

So you're obviously implying that there's millions in this country without common sense. Are you working. There's loads who need the money, and if their bosses say get to work then they are. So look at the bigger picture.
