Nick keep your chin up fella. Eveyone's thinking of you and as Tashy Man says if you ever feel down get on the goat and have a read, it'll have you giggling like a good 'un, I can thoroughly recommend his posts to put a smile on anyones face!!!!!

If it comes to it and Nick does need to sell his motorbike and car to raise cash, how about we help get him the best price possible? If Nick's willing, we could maybe spruce them up a bit - make them the best motorbike and car on the road - and then auction them off.

How anybody can read Nick's testimonial and not feel like giving something, anything I don't know. All I can think is that his message still isn't getting out enough there so keep pushing.

And to Nick, I have every respect for you. Keep fighting.

Nick's post makes me feel all of the following: Saddened, inspired, encouraged, angry, confused, desperate, heartened and a number of other feelings. He speaks of dialysis as if it was just something minor; my missus is a dialysis nurse and it is paiful, debilatating and it really gets you down.

We should all continue to do everything we can to help this true fighter.

Update

Update

Quite alot going on.

We have cheques coming in - about £200 a day at the mo. Some really nice people out there; many of whom definitely can't afford it (OAPs etc).

We've got all of the aviation press on it.

We've got some airshows thinking about donating a proportion of their takings.

We did a collection at the 6 Sqn HAS bash the other day, and a couple of 6 Sqn engineers are doing sponsored bike rides/runs.

The RAF News is doing a front page next issue, we think. The journo turned up yesterday. She should be mentioning the fund, the paypal account, and the e-goat poster.

We're working on some newspapers as well.

Too many ideas to follow up immediately, but we're ploughing through them.

We were told that the RAF is trying to post him to Scotland, but before they do that, they're checking that it will actually work for him. RAF docs checking with NHS.

Massive thanks to all the goaters who are helping. We have taken all your ideas and will action them all as best we can.

We will canvas Station Commanders on whether they are in a position to help.

Any JPA experts know if we can use the system to danoate 1/2 a days' pay or something. Will make life easy for people who are finding it difficult to donate any other way. PM us, please.

Cheers,

Nick's Mates

Brize has it's family's and friends day just round the corner. Anyone else interested in taking turns to stand on the gate collecting donations ? (if we can get permission)

I'll start a thread in the RAF Brize Norton forum.

Hi there, I joined the forum specifically to add a couple of ideas to this thread (I am an army wife over from ARSSE).

How about contacting payal about the fee's? It is probably a slim to non shot but they may reduce or refund them if asked and they know what it is for- good publicity and all that.

Johnny Vaughn does the breakfast show on Capital Radio and has a segment where he reads out messages from service personnel serving abroad to their loved ones. I am sure if he was contacted about this he would promote it.

I am based in Aldershot (no Farnborough airshow this year grrr) if there is anything I can help with or any events where I can shake buckets under people noses please let me know.

Thanks for the heads up on that, Being that I can't pick it up I didn't know about that but I have sent Johnny an email to try and publicise the appeal.

Could you keep an ear out and let me know?

Many thanks to the members over at PPRuNe for their recent donations.
