Had a quiz last night here at Seeb organised by the Nimrod aircrew and half the prize money was put into the Nick Lock pot.

I have now started to collect money here watch this space for more info................:PDT_Xtremez_14:

Good man!

See goaters a little initiative can raise a lot of dosh for Nick. Letsget a few more bodies doing stuff like Get Tae, believe me you will have a lot of pleasure in achieving even a small collection.

3 hours spent on the main gate at Lyneham with Nutty Bird and S2, and an hour in the pub the next evening netted over £450. It was interesting and good to meet so many caring and generous people. I was at the time under the impression that it was happening over a few stations, but have heard nothing else...

It was the best 3 hours I'd had in a long time! We had a right laugh, spent an afternoon in the sun, met loads of people who were only too willing to chuck in a pound or ten for a damn good cause and all for a small 3 hours.

e-goat's first donation to the Nick Lock Fund

e-goat's first donation to the Nick Lock Fund

The amount written on this cheque below, would not have been possible without all the kind and thankful donations we have received so far. The majority of donations have been from fellow goaters, others have been from Arrse members & overseas donations stretching as far as New Zealand and donations from non service personel.

However, our campaign is not over!. We have an exciting e-goat auction coming soon and hope to raise many pounds more.

On behalf of the e-goat staff, we cannot thank you more for your kind generosity you have shown.

The Cheque will presented by e-goat's gemarriott this Saturday coming.

Gemarriot and friends

Gemarriot and friends

Met GEM with MainJaf today and he had a little surprize that I shall leave for him to tell.

Thanks to all the moderators especially Mad_M for their efforts.

I do believe that the total acccounted and collected fighting fund is well over £10,000 now.

A little stall at the Jag families day made just over £500 for Nick.

We are going to Waddo tomorrow as "Nicks Mates" to hopefully do better.

See you there!!!:PDT_Xtremez_14:

Must get back to our HAS bash..:PDT_Xtremez_30:

Thanks to everyone!

A great time was had by (almost) all at the Jag retirement do!

From what I saw I'm sure we raised a lot for Nick. People were paying for drinks (normally only totalling a fiver) and putting the change from a twenty in the pot for him.

Best of luck Nick!

Update

Update

We got a grand from the Shoreham Airshow Committee. That brings us to about £12000. We should be turning up at Fairford, and Sqn Prints are going to help us sell stuff for a charitable donation too.

Thanks to all - was so busy on Sat that I didn't even get to meet Gem!

I posted a request on the stn cdrs forum up here to see if he could help with a donation from the stn cdrs fund this is what he said.

Thank you for this extreamly thoughtful post. As I am sure you will understand Cpl Lock's case is very complex; hence I have delayed my response untill I could ascertain as much infomation to make a meaningful contribution. To answer your direct point first of all. I am afraid that the restrictions placed on public (taxpayer's) expenditure by the treasury prevent me from using the stn cdrs fund to support this collection. It is simply illegal. However, I applaud both those that have contributed to his fund and his colleagues at Coningsby who have organised the collection.
What I have been able to confirm is that the issues raised by this drug are not confined to the health care trust involved. This is not a case of a 'post code lottery' that the media tend to portray or as a result of the services transferring Oncology support to the NHS. These types of cases highlight the complex medico-legal issues that face the medical professionals both military and civilian. I am affraid I can not add more to the debate about the administration of Cetuximab as the specifics of Cpl Locks medical condition are subject to normal medical confidences. My staff have confirmed that CPL Lock is receiving the best welfare support that the RAF can provide from a wide range of organizations at both Coningsby and HQ AIR.
Moreover our own CAS has taken a very personal interest in the case and is regularly kept informed. So as far as fund raising event is concerned I will strongly encourage the Leuchars Station Charities action group (SCAG) to take this case into 'care'. This is a real case of us looking after our own - I am delighted with the publicity that you and Nicks colleagues are achieving in this way.
Well done CA B***sto, Air Cdre

I thought I might as well try and get a few quid out of him, but fingers crossed the charities group here should be able to help

Good stuff. Have you tried to tap him for a personal contribution????

The Execs at Lyneham have been fleeced By POB and NuttyBird, all of whom dug deep.

Bump

£81.90 put in today from proceeds raised from quiz nights at Seeb organised by Mo from Nimrod Det.

No money as yet, but she loads of advertising either gone up or going up today all round station, as the charity auction posters should be hitting the sections today.
Will see what else I can do.

Progress

Progress

The holding account for Nick at Coningsby is up to £13,500 I was told by its controller today.

Nicks family have also been fundraising via a charity cycle ride and have raised £3,500

Sqn Prints are making available by donation, the Jag Brochures at RIAT and supporting the work some of Nicks Mates will be doing at the Boscombe "Canopener" Jag.

The spotters at Conz and Waddo have been getting the brochures via Adrians burger van and the Sentry Post at their respective car parks.

Adrians "hard sell" has raised £300 in 4 days....

I went down the spotter line at the fence at Waddo today with a box. Got £70 in two minutes....

Thats fantastic ILLKC!

To me, reading this thread brings home the idea of the RAF family, and that we won't let someone go without a fight.

I take it he's nearing the funds needed for the Cetuximab trial.

I can only keep my fingers crossed for him.

I will have other items for the Buntingthorpe draw.

Somebody from Sky News sent a laptop case and a rainproof jacket.

Some House of Commons stuff will be also available.

Mainjafad will take them up.
