From what i understand the pre boarders are not our tradesmen, they are just a group of people who read every trades SJARS and rank them accordingly. They do not have a say in our trade vacancys nor do they have any knowledge of them. They just read and rank.
And yes i do know that we have a trade expert on the board but again correct me if i am wrong that person will only be a WO if the board is for SAC's. Anything higher and it will be an engineering officer. So as long as he or she is not an ex ranker their should and I say only should not be any bias.
Promotion boards are just that, its the manning desk who puts names to slots from the list they are provided with. If their are slots for Ex 3's only then Ex 3's will be picked up first regardless if an 11 is a place or two higher on the list. Likewise if the job is better suited to a candidate with certain Q's and they happen to be an ex 11 then they would get the slot first.
My rant was mean't as call to stop they 3 and 11 divide rubbish.
If my statements are incorrect then sorry, correct me. Otherwise stop moaning about how hard done by you think you might be, it's a myth.
