bearing in mind the news from the sgt to flt sgt board and the knock on effect is there any point in this thread?!!! Maybe we should just start a resettlement one instead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Luckily for some of us that joined up at the ripe old age of 16 1/2, If i get it this year I will have (Just) enough time left to get the SNCO Pension. Not that I am sayingI wont sign on if promoted, (And subsequently offered).... There is always a small chance!

SAC board there are 50 releases albeit some med boards in there and Cpl board 80 with also some med boards, that seems pretty good to me!
.....and as for those expecting it as they were in the top xx from previous boards, doesn't mean anything....more are joining the party - if they want you they want you baby!

Where you come off one board means nothing compared to the next years board, believe me. and the worst thing anyone can do is "expect it"

If you have a med cat that is lower than the normal or you have a medical marker you will still be boarded but if they get to your number manning will send your paperwork to a med board to ensure that there is no medical reason that you cannot be promoted.

Preboarding will either be completed or happening in the next week or so.
However, I heard from one of the management down here at the big college that they will not be telling folk there preboard grades / positions to, In their words, "Avoid disappointment and the risk or creating disenchanted airmen"......
Sounds like either a Bad rumour or a TERRIBLE idea!stfu

I still want my third banana, not for monetary gains (although having increments again and more dosh would be nice) but cos my family has a bit of a history of always getting to at least Sgt, so i can't let the side down.

I agree increments would be nice along with a pay rise. I'm sure the missus and little man would be happy seeing you only at weekends whilst they stay down south. you settled in well in the new job??
