Higher Pay Band?

But surely you can only GXD when these fellows are below the 250 GBP threshold (?). I believe every JNCO is a P store, so GAZing them and awaiting Range Manager response for disposal is the correct procedure.

I am probably wrong, too long in NATO and no JSP's in my favorites to double check.

You are correct, but I'm sure U53's will be received in due course.

Nice new pic by the way :-)

Currently on pre deployment leave prior to OOA so the Goat is my link on this subject. Well done to those that went up and commiserations to those that didn't. If I'm honest I didn't believe we would get it, big trade, SDR due etc, bit surprised at the years difference between movers and stackers but hey ho, its light at the end of the tunnel, and it doesn't appear to be a train! Those JNCOs that are miffed, thats fine, but what about the lads? IMHO any JNCO who thinks more of himself and not about the troops that actually make him or her look as good (or as bad) as they are then maybe you aren't as good as you think you are.

If the JNCOs weren't worth it you need to bear in mind it was based on JNCOs being interviewed on their duties.

Don't think you can blame the JNCO's involved, my SNCO slot was assessed as was the JNCO working with/for me and the team of Officers asking the questions stated that they were amazed at the diversity of tasks, pressure and responsibility on the shoulders of a JNCO within this particular Squadron Store, and I know that similar must have been the case for the TSW JNCO slot that was assessed on the same day. As has been said many times before big trade cost big money......decision already made before with pay off for SNCO's as trade off. :PDT_Xtremez_25:

Sorry, was this when they went to Brize? If so that was a very small part of the JSJET. I was interviewed back in Aug 08, firstly by the then TS, who took me through the initial paperwork. Then when the paperwork came back I reviewed it and with further counseling from the TS I spent around 20hours on it. I then spent around 3 hours with the JSJET interviewer. This was done for everyone across the ranks. The team of officers were at Brize for the day to view the tasks we carry out on a daily basis, my interview included everything else involved with being a stacker, H&S, QA, Bldg Custodian etc etc.

As has been said many times before big trade cost big money:PDT_Xtremez_25:

The size of the trade makes no difference to whether they gave us the pay rise or not. I asked the question to the then TS. I am dissapointed the NCOs didn't get it but any good one will use it as motivation to get promoted.

I have to agree with this last sentence, now that the news has sunk in the more annoyed its made me, the hole thing stinks. From recent recollections the seniors spent most of their time immersing themselves in QA, management meetings and Top Tables leaving the juniors to carry on with the work. Activities that equal £3k a year? As far as I'm concerned if the increase could'nt be made to everyone then no one should have got it. Bitter? Yes in deed.

I agree with everything you say Schmit. Especially the last bit.

Don't you spout a load of b0llocks, and i'm not talking about APFC's.

Well............ It is quite clear that they did not interview u then Bird!! Cos if they had of we wud probably be on AVM wages now with ur Dyson skills! I still remember one u gave me in exchange of 3 cups of tea... Ahhh happy days!

By the way Bird. i have one of those posh coffe making machines now! Any chance i can swap a cup for 4 goes..... lol

Please can someone explain this to me?
Extract from LOGWEB
“I am pleased to announce that I have heard formally from COS Pers that a decision has now been made regarding future pay banding for those ranks which scored below the pay boundary in the Lower Discretionary Zone (Sgt Mover and Sgt/FS Supplier)”
This to me means the Sgt Mover and Sgt/FS Supplier did not score high enough to justify high pay banding. Am I correct? (Genuine question, try not to rip the p*ss)

Also I can understand the “flip-flop” principle for Sgt Movers and agree with the findings. However, I don’t understand this bit
“The Sgt and FS Suppliers will be uplifted as at 01 Apr 11 as the case to exercise management discretion was judged favourably”
Again could someone explain or shed a bit of light on the meaning of this.

One last thing, why was the decision on every other rank mentioned but not the decision on SAC/Cpl Suppliers? Did we score above the pay boundary or in the Lower Discretionary Zone or not at all?

Anyone know anything?

First off can I say a big thanks to any and all involved with review process, including those interviewed and all the TS's involved. We (Stackers, including me) have been very critical about the whole process and especially the length of time involved to resolve this issue, the lack of info has been frustrating to say the least.

Do any deserve to be on the high pay band from non-technical trades, hell no!! There is a 2 band system for a reason, and the powers that be have created a monster by bluring those lines.

Am I going to offer my new pay back in respect of my beliefs, hell no!!

What I do feel is another problem is the NCO's not getting the pay, what do they do differently from SNCO's in our trade. What courses can they not do as a JNCO that I can not do as a SNCO (Ocean terminal being one of the only that I can think of, and how many slots does that entail).

This problem has been caused by upbanding other non-techincal trades. I can only wonder at how they feel about all this, surely a review of the whole pay structure will need to be held. I have seen some say that they will dicourage others from joining as Suppliers, and that it will be hard to recuit people into our trade, how the hell are the technical trades going to recuit people, what is the incentive for them!!

The MOD are responsible for creating this whole sorry mess, and despite any outcome someone would get upset. Will people PVR over this, I would doubt it, will some SNCO's stay in because of the increase in pay, some will, but pay is not everything!!

As always the majority of us will just 'crack on' as per usual. :PDT_Xtremez_30:
