Higher Pay Band?

Thought I would re-light the fire under this thread!
Well today is D-Day for the outcome of this review it’s nearly 4pm and still nothing…. Anyone surprised, I have heard that it is to be put back again until after the New Year, can anyone add anything to this?

Strange how no one has come on here and said anything at all today, thought there may have been a bit of a buzz about..?
Hopefully it will be out on the streets and put us out of our misery very soon!

….Or is it just me waiting, ha ha?

Anyway, just a thought…
 
I had the TS in our office today. I did my usual digging and got no response. I guess if she'e in the office, she ain't in MOD with the board. So I guess wait out is the order ofthe day.

Yeah, as I thought!

You would assume that someone would say whats going on here, instead of leaving the rumour mill fire up into action and totally get it all wrong!

Come on lets have something, even if it just to say “Yeah, you have to wait until after the New Year” at least we will know! Its funny how all other trade were told, more or less, there and then, but oh no not supply!

I feel sure this is not the TS’s doing, I am sure she is as bewildered as we are, it just seems like cos its supply that there is no urgency!

(Sticks dummy back in his mouth, folds his arms… bottom lip begins to quiver…. and we are ready to sulk, lol!)

Anyway, just a thought...
 
From what I gathered from an email that dropped in my intray, there was no decision being today.

They were going to evaluate another Logistics trade and then hopefully make a decision before the NY.

It all seems very suspicious why there is no black or white on this matter.

Those of us currently on OOA dets in far flung desert locations (not the normal ones you'd expect) will be last to know.

I have been to lazy to look at all the other posts, so not sure if its been mentioned, how much of a pay increase would a level 9 SAC actually get if by some miracle we did go to the higher pay band ?

You won't, i do believe the talk is of Cpl and above moving onto the higher pay band.

Aye, I can't really see SAC's being moved up to the higher pay-band, after all the proposed change has predominately been driven (as I see it) to make pay reflect the larger amount of responsibility and training required to carry out logistics management now days.

SAC suppliers still carry out stock checks, bash the keyboard in the demand cell and pack boxes the same as they have since I first joined up many years ago. The only SAC's who occasionally have more responsibility than in the good old days are those who deploy as part of MSF teams or those on TSW who may well, but those groups of SAC's don't make up 10% of the trade so add little weight to increased pay justifications.
 
Sorry "helpful Stacker", i can see your point in some respects however, why do warrant officers deserve higher payband, what do they do that is worthy of higher pay banding! And also my other point is that manning is so low nowadays that cpl's do sac jobs and sac's do cpls jobs. I have just moved from lossie to leuchars and its identical i.e. more cpls than sac's in a section doing the majority of sac's work, so in theory if cpl's get it then sac's should and visa versa.

Don't worry i haven't for got about the middle order (sgt's and fs's) i still see them walking around different sections chewing the fat and organising there golf trips and mess do's!!!!!! (Honestly i don't have much of a clue about them so i won't give my opinion)

I want the higher payband but i'm also realistic, we don't deserve it for our trade but for going away to **** holes, working extra with less staff, struggling to get leave, and pvr rates, then yes i think them alone desrve us to go onto the higher pay band!!!!!!!

What ever happened to R&D doing regular duty runs? Am I living in the past?

Just to let you all know the whole shebang is controlled by those of us, across the ranks, who had to fill in a ream of paperwork and be interviewed. I spent hours over mine as did all the others and then went further after interview. I don't know why it slipped again but I do know the TS will be as frustrated as anyone else due to the amount of work she put in to all this!

Is there an indication when an announcement might be fothcoming? I'm just as eager as everyone else out there to find out, one way or another. I have my fingers crossed for a good result though :PDT_Xtremez_19:
