ICT Tech Cpl-Sgt Board 2010

Just been informed that the way the boards are ratified has been streamlined somewhat. Instead of having to go through everyman and his dog for a signature it is now ratified by the Promotions WO and the Sqn Ldr they aim for a maximum of 48 hours. Though it will now usually be ratified on the day board finishes.

Apollo, I've been told, has up to 5 days to put it up (but again that's a maximum timescale).
 
Just heard that a global email has gone out to all C4I WO's. They are to contact the drafter by email with names and service numbers and then they will reply with positions/gradings.

I am guessing the drafter is going to get loads of emails on this so maybe take a day or two for us to start finding out.

The top tip is not to ring the desk directly otherwise we will get a blunt reply.

My Boss has just spoken to the Chief Clk and has been told that they are not yet on the "system" and its a friday afternoon so might not be done until monday. He is going to phone my boss back mid afternoon and let him know if its been loaded on yet....will post an update if i hear anything else

Thats my guys shafted then, we don't have a WO

They will have to wait until Apollo gets updated
 
Well.. the results have just hit my Sgts desk... he called me in.. Bent me over and very politley told me that the raf WANTS TO RAM 18 FCUKING YEARS OF SERVICE, 9 YEARS IN RANK AND 2 COMMENDATIONS STRAIGHT UP MY FCUKING ASRE !!

Unlucky Spammy, it is a total fcuking lottery it seems. I'm years away from it (well, should be anyway going by time served etc but then again?!) and am working in a Navy section where there won't be any chasing up to find out. I just hope it goes to people who deserve it and not the usual dross that you normally find out about lol

Ex 11 by any chance Spammy? From what I have been hearing the ex 11s seem to have been haunted by a bad case of the B grades this year.

Well, well, well. Not gobbing off about being high pay band now, are you peanuts? Now you have to cut the ****ing mustard in all aspects of TG4, you all seem to be falling by the wayside.

First the SAC board, then the Sgt board, now the Cpl board. No doubt the big question that the promotion boards have been asking is 'can this candidate be employed in ANY TG4 post?'. Simple ****ing answer - NO! Even the dullest TG3 can pass the CA course - even ****ing shinies pass it.

You peanuts are finally dropping to where you belong on the evolutionary ladder - which is something we all saw coming years ago when this stupid ****ing idea of amalgamation came out.

Enjoy your high pay band - most of you will be marking time in your current rank until you get binned and the real tradesmen keep moving.

hang on hobbes, we only have to cut the ****ing mustard in the job we're currently employed in, which i can safely say, most of us are! We don't have to know about everything ex TG3 related cos thats why you lot are there. Its such a pointless argument anyway cos there are plenty of ex tg3 not getting picked up off this board that should have done a long time ago too, not just us peanuts.

why manning don't just publish it i'll never know, it would answer so many questions and no matter what some people will always be un-happy with the results.

I'm sorry your training took 12 months to complete. I'm also sorry that you barely get to touch anything deeper than 1st line these days.

My point was raised because it was about the current promotion board. It was not intended to reopen the gaping wounds the ex TG3 seem to have about the amalgamation. I think it may be time to grow up and get over it, maybe then we could have a decent discussion about the current situation and not something that is ancient history.
