I'm sorry your training took 12 months to complete. I'm also sorry that you barely get to touch anything deeper than 1st line these days.

My point was raised because it was about the current promotion board. It was not intended to reopen the gaping wounds the ex TG3 seem to have about the amalgamation. I think it may be time to grow up and get over it, maybe then we could have a decent discussion about the current situation and not something that is ancient history.

To be fair, I think im right in saying that there are proportionately more ex-tg3 people out there so you would expect them to have a slightly larger amount of guys promoted. I could be wrong of course, wouldnt be the first time.

FYI... Ex TG3 not 11... And the guy who gave me the results was NOT the guy who wrote the AR. My original 1st RO has been promoted to FS and posted to 90SU, (At least the Promotion Board gets it right sometimes??)

I don't think it's fair to blame the promotion board. You were already pre boarded on your SJARS to date prior to them reading through. Like previously said, you need to have a look at your first RO's and what they put on your SJAR.

fair?

fair?

Unlucky fella, but I am sure I could give you a list of 100 people who should have had it over the last few years but dipped out for no obvious reason. We right reports differently to the ex 11s, maybe concentrate too much on technical ability than ability to put a poster up for a day out or a game of bingo. It should all work out in the end but it's a painfull few years. It will be interesting to see how these 3 yr ex 11 CPLs get on, seen a few fall flat on their faces but also seen some step up and become competant fairly quickly.

PS. can you trust the SNCO? or is he having a really funny joke, check your JPA for a posting to the wing?

Congrats to those who have come off the latest board, I canot believe it has turned into "them and us" I have worked with both sides and all are just as good and as bad including some pretty high placed 3's and 11's it won't be until some of you move on will tg4 really take off! Congrats to all who came off again I'll be interested to see the names and suprises

As its a rumour site, here's one for ya

No chance of even getting to mid 70's after the cut on the Sgt/Fs board

Thats what I heard too from my Snec when he gave me the results.. Quota of 102, 35 released immediately.. prbably get to around the 75 mark.........

102 quota was published before the Sgt/FS board was cut (was after the board finished remember)

Never mind the 90's guys.. I am at 116.. so why whould I be spreading the news if it was horse sh1t?

Congrats to all those who got it, bad luck to all those who didn't. Anyone have any idea of the breakdown from each of the old TG's? As ex TG11 i'm not holding my breath.

A contact of mine tells me that it is a pretty good split. In the first release he reckons it is about 50/50 between 11 and 3. Or if you want to look at it from another angle then in the first 35 it is 100% TG4!!!!!

Lads sorry if I got it wrong but there is so much gumf on here from the old sweats as morale sappers, I hope for you at 116 you get a lucky break, with drafting rules slighty different hopefully most will be happy

I'd be interested in any gen on the slightly different drafting rules.

I thought that the new TG4 was made up of something like 35% ex TG11 & 65% ex TG3 ? Surely in that case, you would expect a higher proportion of ex TG3 types to have come off the board, due to their numerical superiority ?

If it really is a nice politically correct 50/50 split, then surely something sinister has happened, as that would be a very big coincidence :PDT_Xtremez_32: I was reliably informed that the Sgt-FS board was "re-graded" last year because so few of the stable belt wearing, Commcen dwellers were picked up by the board originally.

Not that I am one for conspiracy theories of course :PDT_Xtremez_30:

I'm not sure it was meant literally I can't be certain on the split, I know plenty of ex3's who wear belts mate looking back I can't think of any commcens that stable belts were the fashion only perhaps when they jumped on the high pay band and could afford one! Perhaps now with some on high pay sgt they can afford one for everyday!
