Well of course loads of ex TG3's wear the stable belt nowadays. It seems to be the way ahead as far as the promotion boards are concerned ! Just team it up with a shiny set of promotion sticks (sorry, golf clubs) and you may as well order that new mess dress before the board even sits

Please spill the beans on the slightly different drafting rules, you have us intrigued now. I wonder if the drafters know about this rumour that is going round, I am visiting next week so could always mention this thread?

What a whinging, bleating bunch you lot are. When will you realise that promotion is highly competetive and the board decides who deserves the promotion.
The conspiracy theories here are embarrassing, and posters are looking for excuses to mask their own inadequacies, which didnt get them selected in the first place.

Congratulations to anyone selected (dont give a fu$k what trade you were before)
Just for my pennies worth, there has be some sort of "selected" promotion for legacy kit etc, there would be absolutly no point in drafting someone on promotion into a lets say Rader slot who has come across from TG11. In a time of ever increasing cutbacks, sending someone on a 101 course etc when others on the PSL are already Q'd (even though higher up the PSL). The same can be said for comms jobs in reversal. I'm sure the SDR is going to hammer TG4 as a whole with outsourcing for long term savings.
It will be many years before the whole TG4 trade is actually manned with individuals who joined as TG4 so this "juggling" of people's selection on the PSL will continue.
Don't forget this selection will happen after the board has seleted whom they believe to be the best canditates for promotion as individuals and not by their qualifications.

Having spoken to many of them trying to display the myths regarding them, I have been told that they will try their up most to look at the JPA listings as best they can, perhaps if your visiting you'd pop in and see us.
Here here to the other chap lets stop our bleating and just get on with it, this could be a really powerful and useful forum for some of us who want to know what is going on around the camps.

We are one trade although there are many jobs that require a special Q.
That Q is held by the ex TG3, therefore the many jobs that require "THE Q" are effectively only open to ex TG3. As many of the EX tg3 are getting on a bit and have "HAD ENOUGH" due to our slower promotion and extra ranks then a lot of the slots open will be for ex TG3. Therefore in the same way that certain OOA's come around a bit quicker for those with "THE Q" then the slots may dictate that someone with "THE Q" may get picked up before someone without. In the same way that the cushier WEBMASTER slots will go to those with a typing Q.
Hopefully is a slot is open to ANY TG4 they will offer it to the next in line on the PSL and not reserve it purely for those without "THE Q"
Hopefully that explains it? Now we can get on and gossip about when the first 30 will be arriving at the WING!!!

Congratulations if you've been picked up in the first batch to be released, if you're TCW bound then fair enough it's a price you pay for being the new boys again.
If you are in the top 20 or so then phone the desk and get some solid information on where you're likely to be posted, if they can't tell you now they should be able to give you an idea of when to phone back.
