8400 at Swinders in March 88, a bit over 2 years to do with resettlement etc!!!!

8205 March 81, and the frightening thing is, I've been 'out' longer than I was 'in' but I'll still never be a proper civvy. :0

I'm an 8136, Swinditz Sept 13th '77, 17 Flt, 2 Sqn, Cpl Roy Perry was our DI. To my knowledge there are 2 of us left, both Stackers, both at the same Unit, 1 of us is a Warrant (I'll let you guess which one!)

8154 (god's chosen) here. Swinderlitz in Oct '87. 19 Flt, under the charmingly cute Cpl *********** who was married to this REALLY scary psycho rock who got to shout at us and throw thunderflashes into the shell-scrapes we were diving into - ah happy days where those that couldn't hack the pace got weeded out, rather than wrapped in cotton wool. :D

There are a few Bond 007s knocking about, they must keep the last 3 of 007 for those individuals

I once worked for a Naval guy when I was in JHC, Cdre Bond. You just know he will never get promoted, irrespective of how well he does. :D

8219 for me, joined Oct 83 and get this for a claim;

I reckon I am the most senior CPL in the RAF.

My logic runs like this, I got promoted in Aug 89 and owing to the wonders of SPAR I am just about to leave the Regt next month. That means I have 18 years and 1 month of seniority as a JNCO!!

If there are any other fast moving, career orientated individuals out there who reckon they can top that please let me know as I would love to walk away with my claim being a true one.

Regards

ss

PS Owing to a GDT tour at LBH encompassing GRANBY, 6 years at IGDT, and other opportunities I have at a conservative estimate gassed approximately 22,000 service people (obviously some more than once!)

Congratulations, I did 14 years as a Cpl but that was a mere eye blink compared to you!

Sorry for digging this old thread up, You've beat my 17 years, two months and 22 days as a two stripe thats for sure, however I'm pretty sure that at least one TG3 SNCO I knew got picked up for his third in the same month I joined up, and was still in the RAF as a Sgt when I got to see a list of personnel in the trade 20 years later.

Mainjaf did his initials happen to be NC?

Nope, MW. I was going to say two TG3 SNCO's and NC would have been the other one. He was 2nd longest in rank on the list at the time (late 2002) and most likely did over 20 years in the rank as well, though I don't know when he left the service. Worked for MW, 6 years after he got his third, and he was bitter then about missing chief at the five year point, I hate to think what he was like at the end of his service.
