Pay Rise 2009

I don't think the AFPRB would go for a 3 year deal with a potential retention train crash on the horizon.

No, they'd rather spend money on recruiting and paying aircrew, nurses and rocks retention bonuses.

Think ACOS are having a quick rethink about retention bonuses with PVRs falling to an all time low. Its just like the mid 80s again, shame we won,t be able to kick **** out though.

Is that true ? Doubt it in Techie world............maybe the lamer tades that can't get a job outside but the guys who run the airforce are still leaving in droves....."from what I hear"

Crack on.................:PDT_Xtremez_09:

I think I know who you mean, can,t speak for you techies and Winged Master race. Where are they off to then, with airlines cutting back only assume you lot are looking for employment overseas

I know of at least 6 others including myself on my shift alone at work who are studying our civilian licenses. The majority of us have had enough.

Quiet Day then

Quiet Day then

Even if it was compounded it would be 7.2%, that works out at 2.4% per year, I don't think the AFPRB would go for a 3 year deal with a potential retention train crash on the horizon.

Nicely worked out, you must be having a very slow day.

Yep, the airlines sure are cutting back. There are very experienced and highly qualified engineers losing their jobs at the moment. Many are being forced to seek employment overseas. The ones who are lucky enough to keep their jobs are being hit with reductions in terms and conditions. I certainly wouldn't want to be a Techie sitting on a PVR and looking to break into the civilian aircraft industry at the moment, particularly with no relevant qualifications and experience. The outlook is grim and it'll be 12 to 18 months before things start to pick up again. My advice would be to stay put for the time being.

A certain AVM visit said a, pay rise for techies in about 4 years time. But not worried about retention in that trade, said we can afford to lose a lot more before it becomes an issue.

How about 40% manning for the heavies and 67% for the leckies at GEF in ISK if thats not a manning problem then god help us as ignorance is bliss

If you look at januarys chief clerk bulletin you will see that TG1 are about 600 sncos short, yes thats right 600, so dont talk about there not being retention problems and pvrs being at an all time low, the horse has already bolted. They are only promoting 70 avionics cpls of the last promotion board, which when you consider there are 300 vacancies might seem odd, but the truth is to keep the rank pyramid if they promote 300 cpls, they have to promote 300 SACs which leaves you with no mechanics and that isnt going to get any better until at least 2012. So if any SNCOs leave it causes major problems, and I personally know 10 who have either just left or are out before the end of the year and that is just AVs.

600 Snco's short....bloody luxury, thats our entire trade figure max.
Snco's on 24m OOA, Jnco's on 16mth OOA, bods on 14mth OOA.
FMDL 69% current manpower availability on this unit 55%

The only pay rise I know I'm getting this year is my level change and raise in LSSA when I go OOA because I'll qualify for the next lvl.

It means use the space bar after the full stop, it is basic punctuation and not doing it makes anything you write look like it was dribbled.

So you have not given yourself a pay rise so we should just live with not having one and welcome to the real world, but you then dribble you get profit dividend, which relates to a Military wage pay rise how?

Or did you just want to post in another thread how you have bought a house with a pool?

Do you have any concept of how conversation works, or are you one of those weirdo's who shouts random facts in the pub while normal people are trying to talk?
i may be a weirdo, but i bet im earning more than you, and living a better life.
if life was a banister you would be a splinter.

Will we not get less than one percent, I say somewhere between 2.4 and 3.2 and maybe 6% for the bottom range level 1.

Next scheduled time for Govt Defence Business is 23 Feb in Houses of Parl. Should give enough time for this swindling bunch of crets to issue another statement about 'Inflation busting blah...':PDT_Xtremez_28:
