Anybody seen or heard any figures to confirm the last few years promotion rush is grinding to a halt ?

Eng Tech A in particular.

Its yet to peak - my forecast is another 18 months to 2 years then it will level out rather than grind to a halt

Haerd from a guy who phoned the boards that the promotion of Sacs -cpl airframes was 104 he was 100 so is expecting promo soon. Like I said I only heard it so dont quote me.
 
Typical......get to promition bridge ......and last years lot have ripped up the footpath !!
Gods favourite sooties board sitting now.......wonder if we will get 6 like the riggers are getting in the next 6 months....should pick up again next year though when most senior nco's hand in their tool tallies.....theres hope for us all yet !!

As sinnick said, on the PMA website it mentions of 6 predicted for the next 6 months for Cpl to Sgt Eng Tech A.
Where did you get the figure of 42 from?
 
The pre-board quota for that Cpl-Sgt board according to PMA web site was 99.

If only 6 releases in the first 6 months is correct, dropping from 99 to 6 in the first 6 months does not sound good.

Yes, I am not entirely sure how these things work, does that mean that 6 first 6 months would mean roughly 12 for the year ?

If so, would that also affect all the SAC's who told they would be getting promoted, will that forecast also drop ?

I couldnt tell you to be honest. I know in the past they have had more promotions than the prediction but they have also had it the other way.
Some people get a call/letter/chat with the boss out of the blue.
If they dont have enough they'll just promote more straight off of the board. Its not like our trade group is going to run out of A candidates, although I wish it ferkin would!
 
On the PMA (Manning) intranet site - they now list all promotion quota's, number reached on the board, 6 month predictions etc etc. for the last 3 years.

Interesting reading when it says there are not enough Rigger Sgts (or Sooty for that matter!) that are promotable to fill the vacancies for Chief!!!!!

hi just posting a reply of my account, i rang pma last monday and was told i was 22nd on board to phone back in 3 weeks if i hadnt got paperwork for promotion, we will wait and seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee lol. if it does get to 22 its not bad going for me as ive only been a cpl 4 years last saturday. as said we will wait and see.

Why are so many people disbelieving? As I have stated I know where i was on the board and having spoken with the desk and sqn WO am fully aware of the situation. I suggest if you have any doubts you do the same.

Mostly because of what it says on the PMA website!
Personally I cant do anything about this year. I hit the board this time but I am unpostable as where I am is ringfenced until we go civvie. Unlucky but what can I do?
Thats why I havent rung to find out where I am etc etc.
