Just filled in the redundancy calculator, does that payment include the gratuity payment you'd usually get when leaving the raf at the 12 year point?

If not does that mean i'd end up with £63,000 ish...

Or have I read it wrong??

Spot on!!!!! SCP and RG are separate.

It was also confirmed late on when we checked with Air Cmd and we were told we could publish to our intranet. Hence my willingness to wager my life!!

LOL, Tommo, I bet you're glad it was just your life you wagered and not a pint or two :PDT_Xtremez_14:

I think it is 29/02/2012

Not sure, thought I read 31/03/12

No matter anyway, just read the DIN, it says 13 years LOS for my trade as of 01/03/11, i've only done 12 1/2, gutted.....

Is that defo what it means? I'll have done 13 1/2 years by the exit date, have I read it correctly?

I'm not being funny but 120 Mech Sgts is a huge figure compared to the others.
Why hammer us so hard but not the other TG1 Sgts as much?

Because there's too many of you. You only have to look at the problems we are having manning up the new Depth Org at Cottesmore. Far too many Mech SNCOs and not enough fairies.

Far too much dead wood! All the good guys got promoted :PDT_Xtremez_14:

I fear for the guys on the the Cpl-Sgt board this year if we need to shed that many folk.

A colleague had a plan to go for redundancy, use the money to move out to Eastern Europe (where his missus was from) and settle there.

He misses out by ONE MONTH!:PDT_Xtremez_25:

But I will definitely not be taking the pi55... because I have no plan and I'm smack bang in the middle of the field. If I give him grief now... I'll get no end of flak when I get selected for redundancy (against my wishes) and start panicking!:PDT_Xtremez_09:

Sadly it is not the clean slice off the side of the triangle.

No Flt Sgt's or WO's in TG1, I can see a lot of bod's who either miss out or dont qualify hitting the PVR button.

Big oppurtunity to clean house has slipped by all I see in the future is experience and knowledge gaps, with SNCO's clogging up the system just like the mid 90's.

It's not even that I mind the work so much. The hard bit will be telling Mrs NAT that we're not going to get a huge pay-off, an early pension and the right to exude a sense of bitterness.

I wonder if promotion will improve in the decade and a half I've got left...?

Don't get too excited too quickly - :PDT_Xtremez_14::PDT_Xtremez_42:

Off TopicIs that a dig at the SNCOs or the system?

Slightly off topic but....there are more than enough of each trade to do the job in depth. Depth have (apparently) based their manpower on the worst ever eventuality which wouldn't necessarily need a certain trade balance for majority of the figures.
As long as there enough to c/out the anti det plus a bit more.

I know of a fairy chief who wants into depth but it seems that unless he has a white coloured shirt, they aren't interested
