What a knoobhead !

Tell you what mate, why don't you pop into any pub in Wales (or Scotland for that matter it makes no difference) on Wednesday evening where they'll be shouting on Croatia for all their worth, and call them all knoobheads too.
The English are finally waking up to what the Scots and Welsh think of us, and giving it back in spades :PDT_Xtremez_28:

This is a age old argument that English people are getting hung up over. I have already had this precise argument during the rugby world cup when I (and many of my true rugby fan friends) were supportive of all the home countries, maybe its just a poof-baller thing but I will be hoping England can at least fly the flag for Britain during Euro 08.

I am not getting dragging in to a Scotland/England bashing thread.

The Jocks were unlucky last night, they showed exactly the sort of spirit England will need against Croatia.

Good result too for Northern Ireland last night. Lets hope they can pull it off against Spain.

The point is mate, you called someone a knoobhead for doing exactly what many of your own countrymen will be doing on Wednesday. I realise and appreciate that you are able to rise above the inter-UK nationalistic rivalry but calling someone a knoobhead for saying exactly the same sort of thing as a few million Welsh and Scots seems a bit rich to me.
And to be told I'm getting hung up over the sort of bile and vitriol that I've had chucked at me for being English in the wrong place at the wrong time is also a little rich.

I just think the whole idea about 'supporting Wales and whoever england are playing against' is in reality only done by such a minority of people it gives the rest a bad name. And before its mentioned I realise there is a healthy requirement for inter-country banter, but many people think its more of a hatred as opposed to banter.

As for coming out with a statement baiting the jocks after they got knocked out was not really just, especially considering England haven't got there themselves yet.

(but I understand you sooties sticking up for each other) ::P:

Yes, that is a good point with much potential for counter-banter and egg on face if it all goes Pete Tong on Weds :PDT_Xtremez_31:

An absolutely fcuking appalling decision by the ref to award a free kick to the EyeTi's after Hutton was barged off the ball whilst in possession. Ho hum. Onwards and upwards..

Have a drink

commiserations to the olde Jocko's go and have a few drinks of the olde favourite

Well Gutted, we put up a great battle through out the competition, we'll get over it.

England, it now in your hands to lift your heads up and get to the finals or this country will will shut down next summer during the EURO 2008 finals.

I've haven't forgot Northern Ireland, if you end up being the only ones to qualify, the whole country should be behind you.

We have seen it so many times before. Glorious heroic failure again.
Ref was shocking throughout but he could have buried us if they hadnt buggered up for the chopped off goal.

When will we learn that sometimes you have to be a bit cute/dirty cheating *******s sometimes.

Mcfaddens miss was a horror but if we had beaten georgia away we would have still be in with a shout depending on wed and a draw would have seen us through.

Croatia strip will be on come wednesday!

Germany

Germany

The game was shown live here in Germany & even the German commentator/post match discussion all agreed that it was one of the worst managed matches (against Alba) they had ever witnessed.

Come on Croatia:PDT_Xtremez_06:

As an Englishman I was gutted that the knickerless skirt wearers got beat, honest:PDT_Xtremez_28:

Still have ti agree with the average Jock sentiment, c'mon Croatia and lets get rid of hat tw@'t with the jock name:PDT_Xtremez_31:

We were robbed by the dirty cheating w*nker of a referee, oh and what the f*ck was the linesman playing at? was a joke to be honest. I even want england to put one over the dirty ities.

Have to agree. Robbed by the ref!!!

Not often I say this but I really hope England make it and then start to play like a team just so they can give the Italians a right good drubbing!!

Best of luck!!

Why is everyone having a go at the Eyeties?
Surely it's the Spanish officials we should be having a go at.
Come on northern Ireland and stick it right up them on Wednesday.
Come on England just so you can stick it up the Spanish again next year.

I don't think we were cheated out of anything, Italy got a nice early goal which we really shouldn't have lost. They played better than us in the first half but we were definately the better team in the second half.

I think a fair result would have been a draw, but it wasn't to be.
I am very proud of the Scottish team and how far they have come and performed since we got rid of that lunatic Bertie Vogts!

Shocking perfromance by the ref (and his assistants!), however, McFadden should have buried that chance in the last 10 minutes. Suppose it makes a change for the Scots to have the decisions go against them, unlike 77 & 85!!

Dare I suggest that the ref should never have been in a position to influence the table? If Scotland had done the business against the lesser teams then the final game would have been of no consequence, qualification would already have been assured.

Scotland have nobody to blame but themselves.

That said they have exceeded expectations - NOBODY thought they would take six points from the frogs and to be honest I thought they would struggle against the faroes!:PDT_Xtremez_28:

It was a sad sad result for us but even so I'm extremely proud of the team they really give it their best shot. We shouldn't drag ourselves down by whinging about the linesmen or referee though - thats football. In any case there's the World Cup to look forward to.
