Lets be honest mate, the only way you lot would win anything is if you appointed Jesus Christ as you manager and only then might you actually achieve anything. Mind you at least he wouldn't be suspected of tax evasion!

So when was the last time ENGERRLAND won a tournament hmmmm best we ask Jimmy "protruding chn" Hill that question eh! Not in recent times thats for sure.
They couldnt even lift the European Champ on thier own soil in 96 (yes I know you beat Scotland)

At least we gave the French/Italians a close run thing in our group

Thats quite a valid point, we dont profess to be a world class footballing nation, however no matter how poor we play at the moment we would never drop to the level of football your team apsires to! In fact the that this topic is in this forum is an insult to the footballing community. I will start a new thread entitled "Monkey Tennis". That way you can include the SPL too!

We beat France hom and away. You coulnt beat Macedonia and still dont have a left sided midfielder.

Surprised there hasnt been more debate about the appointment of Burley.
he is looking for assistant coaches, and it looks like he is having to strike a balance with both sides of the Old Frim divide by bringing in pressley and Butcher.

This has been the case with the last two Mangerial teams, Mcleish was linked to rangers so he ahd to have Aitken there to keep one side happy.

Smith and Mcoist, also rangers so Burns had to be appointed.

Butcher would eb a great number 2 in my opinion, he was a great player and has vast experience of international football as a player. Would be a great of him to work with our defenders and pass on his experience.

Fergo, I agree about Butcher. Lives in Scotland has good knowledge of the game in Scotland and has the respect of the players. Good first move by Burley.
 
First game under new management tomorrow.
7 players pulled out already. Croatia are no mugs should be an interesting game.
 
Freindly Against the Czechs on Friday. Again half a team missing. Still think we miht blow it and come third in our Qualifying Group, Holland should top it and we really need to win all our home games, some really touh away trips.
