TG4 is the future, embrace it....
No reasoning why the CTs have been abandoned...
No incentive for the new SAC(T)s to go Tech route other than longer training and not having to work with the Peanuts..
Extra work for those whose neck will be on the line when one of them(ex TG11) Kills someone, most likely not themselves.
The pension is on its way soon, my countdown has begun, with so many others, and it makes me so sad and angry that nothing has been done to improve things and nobody has been held to account.

I suggest before any of you go spouting your mouthes off about how dangerous it will be for 'ex TG11' to be OP MAINTAINERS, that you do some sodding home work and stop bitc4ing and whining about something you have obviously not done any research on at all. You love to bitc4 and moan about things, but you should find out what the hell you are bitc4ing about first. Do you honestly think that they are going to let any OP MAINTAINERS near a high enough voltage/risk area to hurt anybody - they are not trained for it. And if you aint trained for it you dont do it.
So go and bitc4 and moan to your chiefs about how sh1t it all is but please, please, please - do some sodding homework b4 you start arguing.::/:

I am sorry to express an opinion but I must pick you all up on some facts.
I have done my homework more than you can possibly understand. Not only the 'comms package that sums up 18months training and a least a posting or two into one test'
I have also worked with many a peanut and done my time on THE WING!!!
Proper OP MAINTAINERS will work on stuff that will kill, that is the whole idea. A lower paid SAC rather than an SAC (T), saves money and they can be trusted to change a box, under the watchful eye of a CIS TECH CPL
Ex TG11 may be excused as they cannot be expected to be competent (tradewise quote from those responsible - not just my opinion)-Hence the extra work on your team!
We also don't find the need to shout, as we are a civil breed ( or should that be civilianised breed)
I really don't want to start a fight, I know there are exceptions on both sides, but that is the AFCOs fault, please remember we have only recently been through one dumbing down when the JTs, Direct Entrants went.

Hehehe, makes me laugh - FatFudd is a RIGGER! (of the cable/aerial variety not the aircraft type)
On the note to calm down - I make no apologies for getting wound up, techs are getting peeved about this changover. They think that they are better than TG11 (in some repects they are, in some they are not) and it is this elitist attitude that grips my sh1t. Seems that the young uns coming out of Cosford not so long ago had this attitude drilled into them during training - had to re-educate a few on arrival at my unit - I work in a mixed TG11/12/3 environment and we all do the same job, nobody is better than anybody else.

Well If I am un- Civilized many thanks for the complement, before you start being a F$#KING boff and "doing your homework" get with the program, we are all being screwed over, and as for the fact that the rigging trade is as much at danger as op maintainers, yet where is the insentive for us, thats right you TECHIE SCUM treat us like you S&*T and then bitch at us. I think that you should all get on with some work and stop moaning about how bad you have all got it, the ones who are being screwed are us riggers who have been tagged along to the back of trade group 4, with nothing for us to be there for.
So when you get some bl**dy idea about the whole program of vents for the entire of trade group 4 then come back and say you piece. & If your thinking "well we could do your job" fine, how many techies want to climd and spend most of the year away for a sh*T wage. NONE OF YOU, YOU LIKE YOUR BL^&DY COMPUTERS TO MUCH!!!

As a fellow techie im just gonna say that trying to be impartial is hard in this situation. What the dark side (other trades) are forgetting is that the techies are more or less being forced down an IT route and this is not desirable as anybody with a decent IQ can work a computer (that excludes the thickie nut nuts and riggers then) and we are getting to work on equipment down to component level less and less as it is, as they go civvy at the drop of a hat.
this is what the main concerns are with the joining of trades 3 and 11 not mentioning the fact corporal thickie nut nuts are gonna get high pay band for doing a naff job- what will be next, coppers on high pay band?? oh yea they all ready are!!!!!
Oh yea Fat fudd shut up and go clean the iso's or something seeing you have no job at your location LOL
