What I remember most, music wise was Simon Mayo in the morning playing the same fecking song at the start of his programme, forget the title but started with 'This is Jam Hot'. Fecking after 6 weeks of that wanted to punch the cnuts head in and stamp on his bollox.

That is called 'Dub be good to me' but I can't remember the artist... (Have googled and it was... Beats International)

and the B£stard thing is going round in my head now!!

What was the UK number one single when you pledged your allegiance to Queen and Country ?

http://www.everyhit.com/dates/

Mine was Earth Song by a certain Mr Jackson....

But for you oldies (Pastengineering/Canberraman/Hu) :PDT_Xtremez_06: the charts didn't start until 1952 !

The Number 1 single was:
Michael Jackson - "Earth Song"

So I'm going out on a limb here and saying we might haved joined up around the same time?

OK mine would be for Apr 91

Chesney Hawkes - "The One And Only"

popular on the juke box at Swinderby were James, Sit down and the police, Roxanne.

Then i got to trade training and most of that was taken up with Mr Adams droning on about Everything he did.

March 85

March 85

Dead Or Alive - "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)". Chap that did the singing resurfaced recently – strange looking fellow.

19 Sep 78 - 10CC and Dreadlock Holiday was the number 1 blaring out as I sat in the barbers chair getting my short, back and number 1 all over.

Top Raffy Albums must surely include War of the Worlds. Was there a single barrack block that didn't have a copy somewhere?

for me it would be:

September 02!

Pink: Just like a pill

it bears no resemblence but a tune i love very much xx

On 25th Nov 1985 ...

The Number 1 single was:
Wham! - "I'm Your Man"

Hanging my head in shame!!!

Oh God this is embarrassing:

The Number 1 single was:
Donny Osmond - "Puppy Love"

The Number 1 album was:
Various artist compilation (K-Tel) - "20 Dynamic Hits"

The shame of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:S

''I don't Feel like Dancing'' by the Scissor Sisters

SPROG ALERT

1/3 of Bananarama for me

25 Feb 92

Shakespears Sister - Stay

Was always on the video machine in the Naafi area as well. Always shudder when I hear it now.

28th Feb 89

The Number 1 single was:
Simple Minds - "Belfast Child"

Although the song that sticks in my mind during Swinderby was Sam Brown and Stop.

it was bryan adams with everything i do i do it for you! went on for ages at No1
made me feel sick it staying there so long.

That went to number one as I was heading to the Falklands, it was still number one when I got back. Felt like I had never been away!!

For me it was the same as Billy Whizz, Bob Geldoff (give us your fecking money(tm)) and Band Aid - Do They Know It's Christmas.
