The board finished at lunchtime the list needs to be processed within promotions and then sent up to manning. Hopefully it'll be ratified by tomorrow.
 
Is there anything worse than waiting for news that you are sure will be BAD and p155 you off for the rest of the year.Spamout

Yes mate, try missing out on promotion by 2 positions on the board 1 year then getting a big kick in the bo11ocks the next!

Just heard A grade and 90th, 9yrs Cpl now will struggle to spend yet another year having to ar£e kiss Sgt's whose job i could and do better and find high profile secondary duties good enough for the board to dismiss again next year, yes i am a bitter man now. Will now watch and see which idiots who have done 4-5 years as a Cpl be my next boss

I am into my tenth year as a corporal now and have given up hope.

I am just the bitter twisted old looking cpl now.

Good thing is that I now speak my mind, more freely than before. Maybe that isn't such a good thing.

Us old uns are unwanted let's be honest. What do they value in the RAF...Experience?...er NO!!! Charity workers and Golf players. The younger the better. And you lot thought your job and experience was a valued...tut tut!!

Get those ELCs and SLCs in gents and start looking after No 1. I am!!!
 
Unfrotunately write ups will make or break your SJAR.

You can have the best SJAR in the world, but if your ROs aren't able to articulate how good you are, then I am afraid you're at an immediate disadvantage on the board, and someone else who is maybe not as good as you; but has an RO with a better grasp of English, will most likely come out ahead.

I haven't bothered asking for my position. I'd rather not know personally.
 
Not a lot of Happy Faces at the West Midlands Training Base.... I managed to drop to 73 this year. At least I have a couple of years left to try and move into the catchment bracket, (Luckily I joined up at 16 so gave me 23 1/2 years)..........Good luck to those who are still waiting to here!........Spamout
 
So if a lot of people are dropping down the list compared to previous years, who the hell is slipping into them "in the bracket" numbers?
 
Might ask my seniors to find out tomorrow, but will wait till I have done show and tell at my kids school first though!
