Just been told by my boss that i am getting it and should know by middle of next week where i am going, only been where i am for 3 months and no slots anywhere on camp to go to, so it looks like i'll be getting myself to stores for some new deserts!!
There is another chap from here who was in the top 10 not heard where he is going when i hear anything i'll post it on here to that people can at least see that all the slots on the wing are being filled first hehehe.....

Hey, Congratz.

Did you get told where you were placed? I was only told around 30th...so im not expecting any imminent news to be honest.
 
I've been told 26 and the drafters will be sending out the posting notice next week that was from my Flt Sgt who had an email direct from the drafters

Anyone know how postings are going to work with respect to the cpl's leaving to go to sgt slots??? will the drafters update that database on the manning website with all the jobs or will they just bosh people into them???
Only asking as i'm desperate to get out of my current hell hole so any info mucho appreciated :PDT_Xtremez_30:
 
Greg, generally you'll be offered the next Sgts slot that comes up (in line with your position on the board). This is subject to some movement as some slots require specialist qualifications and manning have some room for movement.

I think it used to be within 10 of your position on the board but an adminer will be able to confirm that.

There's no set figure - the drafter can overlook personel on the Main PSL to meet Service or individual requirements as they see fit. For example, they could use No 35 because they are already substituting in a vacant post, and overlook No 18 because the slot they are after, or best suited for is not yet vacant.
 
Nice one tommo, that's good to know. Any ideas on how much notice the drafters will pay to personal preferences?

fcuk me rugby, i haven't been promoted (well, to my knowledge anyways haha). was wondering as i am desperate to move from where i am now and wanted to know if the vacant Cpl jobs will be publicised or just given to random people due a posting.

I have just got my paperwork signed, was number 11 on the board, will be wearing 11th July, and get to stay at my base down south. Well done to everyone else that got it.
