Feck off, you were serious

If you dangle a hook in a pond that is not yours, expect to get bitten!

Serves you right anyway with your next cushy posting!!

I also think that currently we have a record number of scopies on ver goat simultaneously!

3 scopies on and the average IQ halves

Got out of bed the wrong side this morning?

Anybody would think that Wales were thrashed to a record defeat by England at the weekend...

Enjoy Predator, plenty of lovely postings with that one once it's up and running well, hot ones anyway! You'd think we were buying dozens of the things with the way some people have banged on about it on here!

Whilst the banter is good, maybe this forum could do something a little more positive.

For example - where are the areas of overlap? I happen to work at secret ATC base a couple of miles North of Heathrow and our two TG12 chaps are doing rather well. It would be nice for them to educate us about something and, at the same time, give them something (not a sexually transmitted disease!!) to take back to the CRC.

How dare you suggest that we bimble in an out of the ops room on a random basis. It's a carefully planned exercise that is designed to make us look busy at all times.

Yup it's a hard life having to drink all those cups of tea while you leave your assistant on phone watch, not forgetting the mandatory rest periods for controllers.

Such as... ?

oooh, how about sitting and contemplating that one for a little more than the 10 minutes it took for you to post a response?:0

But I did contemplate it. Having done more years at LATCC than the average axe murderer does in the Scrubs, I know what the job down there entails etc.

If you guys embrace the scope dopes like you undoubtably have then both sides would gain in a way, you gain badly needed manpower and they get to do a jobof work. Short of them standing up and teaching 16 then it will be difficult to learn anything per se from them. Best option is to send some of your SACs to CRC

That's the problem, you have none spare!!

Er well, how about you send two more of your 121% manning down to LATCC then they can free up two down there.

Little bit of outside the box thinking there.

You can't do that Salty, NAIDOY is at the sharp end and we can't cut any of those posts!!! LMAO...

:PDT_Xtremez_15:

The overmanning is at SAC level, we still have a deficit at Cpl and possibly Sgt, hence the number of promotions this year!

FL, we are running with shortages at the moment with all of the unestablished tasks we are helping to cover. Everyone has a job to do but I would not consider my job the "Sharp End" when we have people deployed in Herrick and Telic at the moment. We supply the lion's share if personnel to CRAM with a possibility that more will be procured.

Hmmm, I will happily host any people you can send up here for a couple of days to try and lay some myths to rest about what we do.

I am also glad that you are gainfully employing our people down there, there is definate crosover, especially at SAC level although as I have said in an earlier post there are more difficulties at SNCO level. The next roulement is rumoured to include some JNCOs (where from I don't know) so this could be more indicative. Our youngsters (from both trades) are well trained and will generally adapt to whatever we throw at them.

Get a life! I was being sarcastic, there is no way I would consider the CRC as being the sharp end.

But evidently my parochial mindset blurred my humour!!!
