We can all have the opinion that the government should do this and do that
none of us know what they are doing, but I am sure they are doing everything they can to get the lads and lass back, there are many historical incidences where going in with force has gone wrong, so leave it to the experts to sort out

There were a lot of comments about Faye's handwriting, but we don't know the kind of "persuasion" these heathen feckers have used. Not a nation I would enjoy being arrested by.

the iranian foreign ministry said she would maybe be realeased. they are being held by the iranian guard and they will have told the foreign ministry to **** off.
as for those wanting the guys to fire on the iraninas. that is just crazy! total sh*t storm waitng to happen. i am a bit surprsed the lynx wasnt close by and saw this developing. but to start sinkng iranian patrol boats is an act of war.
lets hpe they all get realeased soon
britain is going to the UN for a statement! not a resolution, that will take weeks.
a statement from the 15 members of the security council would be a strong card. not sure who the ten rotatng members are riht now but if any f the arab states are in it ans sign that is significant.
talk of trying those being held as spies. could drag on and on.
hope the guys and girl get home soon.

I suppose arresting and detaining soldiers of a sovreign nation in the commission of their duties OUTSIDE your territorial waters isn't act of war in your book then ?

No, thats kidnap in my books. However sending in THEM and blowing away The guards that are holding the sailor/marines is most definately an act of war.

Expect the UN to condemn Iran's actions, and that will be that, for now.
If we hadn't painted ourselves into a corner over Iraq and Afghanistan we would have been threatening military action even before this kidnapping. Bush has less than 2 years left in office and Brown thinks the Armed Forces are a drain on his budget so I don't think we will be going in anytime soon. Sooner or later, though, I think it's almost inevitable.

I know that dude I meant IF we knew where they were and the SF football team paid them a visit I would consider it rescue, the act of war has already been commited in the kidnapping of British servicemen in the commission of their duty OUTSIDE of Iranian territorial waters.
