Order things happened for me last week:
1. WO found out I was promoted.
2. Interview with Wg Cdr for handshake and to sign acceptance of promotion (From drafter I assume as it had my posting on it).
3. 1 hour after no2 got assignment order on JPA confirming what was on the letter I signed.
4. Today received hand signed congratulatory letter from Air Commodore (Similar to old blue letter) Nice touch I thought.

3 Sqn TCW, had mentioned it earlier in thread, I'm trying not to carp on about it! (Too much) Posted list of things that happened just to let others know, mainly that it wont be from JPA that you hear it first, you have to sign letter accepting it before assignment order is sent to you.

I have just got my paperwork signed, was number 11 on the board, will be wearing 11th July, and get to stay at my base down south. Well done to everyone else that got it.

I was told the first 20 or so were Wing bound. Im in the same situation as you, but congrats none the less.
Obviously you were just spouting horsesh1te. Another in the top 20 has just been told he's off to Boomer when it would be easier to keep him at 90.

Well not me exactly, just repeating what my Sgt was told, or said they were told, by the drafter when they phoned up to give the good news. I hope everyone gets the posting they are looking for.

Assignment order arrived today! It's official 3SQN here I come...... Already done 2&4 in the past , so looks like I'm going for the full house!!!

I imagine there is plans for 20 slots on the wing, maybe more if you talking 90SU, but as always there are those that will be able to stay in location (rightly or wrongly but another topic I guess) but means that they may get a bit further down the PSL sooner? They seem to have got a fair few offers out quickly, upto about 30 by the sound of it?

early 40s, but my Chf Clk reckons it will be November at the earliest.

if the people that have been selected for promotion, would they have any problems letting me/us know how much time in they have done and seniorty , yes im a bitter and twisted ex-11 with 19 years and too many high and spec recs and still in the lowly rank of cpl?

I'd be interested to know how many of the lucky ones have served with TCW recently.
Call me a conspiracy theorist, but from those I know have been picked up, the majority are either on, or recently left the wing. It seems to me that, as the future is "expeditionary", we're all being told "Come to TCW to get promoted, regardless of how well you're getting on elsewhere."
I could, of course, be wrong.......

Dont get TCW confused with 90SU. About a third of the trade is now based in N Yorks. Surprise surprise, about 1 in 3 picked up will have recently been there.
