I'd be interested to know how many of the lucky ones have served with TCW recently.
Call me a conspiracy theorist, but from those I know have been picked up, the majority are either on, or recently left the wing. It seems to me that, as the future is "expeditionary", we're all being told "Come to TCW to get promoted, regardless of how well you're getting on elsewhere."

I could, of course, be wrong.......

get a life

It's all gone a bit quiet on here. Anyone know what number we're up to now?

Surely someone has some top gossip!? A couple of days ago someone told me that the number of promotions could go up to 140...then yesterday someone told me that they would be lucky to get passed 80. Both of these came from friends of a friend who's dog was once bitten by the trade sponsor!!!

Heard there were some big wigs currently reviewing the numbers, probably due to the review in November. Hurry up and wait i guess!

One comment I picked up on whilst listening to a brief by manning staff.

"TG4 is currently running short on Cpls....."

Could we be in for a lean time with promotion? Stop promoting Cpls to maintain the balence?

I know everyone will say just promote more, but it just does not work that way. The SAC-Cpl board is already way over its original number, and they say were still short. We dont want substandard SACs promoted just to fill a gap.

Was that brief 3 years ago? We have heard (and seen) it all before. But was mainly on the TG3 side.
To be honest we have had substandard Sac's promoted for the last few years, and a few substandard Cpl's to Sgt. and the odd substandard Sgt to FS. They can't get them through fast enough at the bottom. It's all about where you leave to holes...

I am sure it it, but if the quota was for over 100 Sgt's and the Sac-Cpl board is looking for 90 (i think) then they are just as short of Sgts, if not more so given that there should be less % Sgt's in the trade.
It all cascades down and depends on the slots at the top. What is the latest on the FS board?

Last time I looked at the manning site, some weeks ago, the Sgt-FS promotion for the first 6 months is expected to be just 8. But thats just the first 6 months.

Anyone had anymore posting info?

I've been trying to get hold of the desk for the last few days to no avail.

Latest rumour...everybodies being posted to Vegas for 3 years of UAV's and blackjack!

Question for Nomad,

you mentioned in a previous thread that you were mid 30's, did u come in the first 35 or latter? I'm just intrested to know if they have allocated all the first "35" batch yet? Or if you were amoung that 1st batch or the top of the 2nd batch.

As far as i know i'm right at the back end of the first batch. I'm hoping to hear some posting info next week if the drafters back in.

I guess once all the first batch have been given their posting notices they can move on to the second?

Does anyone know if there has been anyone who has turned their offer down?
:PDT_Xtremez_32: I heard that last years board there were loads of refusals.

I haven't heard of anyone who's turned it down yet. But the only other people i know who've been picked up are further down the board so won't have received offers yet.
